I think most people would agree to a reversible transformation i.e you can switch at any time. That gets rid of possible disadvantages.

Switching bodies, I could do that. I'd only do it if I could inhabit someone's body like Natalie Portman, as I have no desire to have, say, Wynonna Judd's body at my disposal.
