This is a debate that me and my friends just cant settle which game is truly better so i wanna know others opinion to help settle this ongoing battle between us haha name which one you think is better and if you want to take it to the next level leave a small reason supporting your decision.!! It would be greatly appreciated...

Rock Band has 'Still Alive' as free DLC, nuff said.

Gameplay wise, I've only played the demo of GHWT compared to the full game of RB2, but I still prefer GHWT.

End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

RockBand 1/2 definitely. The only thing GH:WT has over RB is the track creation tool which is gimped by a lack of vocals and them taking down covers.

My Guitar Hero WT Guitar broke soon after purchase, and I'm likely going to switch to Rockband. Its available library is much larger, and the instruments for RB2 have been toned down to create less noise. That said, The drums in GH:WT are better designed and more like a real drum kit.

Its a close call, but I think I have to go with Rockband 2, if only because i had the afforementioned bad experience with my own personal GH purchase... That said I know plenty of people had their own bad experiences with RB1, at least...

the reason I did not get Rockband is because it is corney. The game takes itself to seriously. GH: WT has a more fun feel to it.

Last year, Rock Band beat out GH III due to innovations. This time, while GH III is awesome, RB 2 has these cool features:

1. More songs - you can import the RB 1 songs into the current RB 2 game - along with your RB1 downloads.

2. More content - RB 2 has No Doubt, Roy Orbison, AC-DC and several other acts lined up. I haven't heard a peep out of the GH camp.

3. MTV. Yeah, MTV has a major stake in RB, and their support is great for any game.

4. Less to invest. Let's say you have RB 1. Don't wanna buy wireless instruments? Buy the game - and use your old instruments. If you want the full flavor with WT, you have to buy instruments.

In the end, RB 2, FTW.
