My Guitar Hero WT Guitar broke soon after purchase, and I'm likely going to switch to Rockband. Its available library is much larger, and the instruments for RB2 have been toned down to create less noise. That said, The drums in GH:WT are better designed and more like a real drum kit.
Its a close call, but I think I have to go with Rockband 2, if only because i had the afforementioned bad experience with my own personal GH purchase... That said I know plenty of people had their own bad experiences with RB1, at least...
