Forums - Gaming Discussion - Have you ever had a console/handheld or game stolen from you?

I'm still missing like 5-10 PC games that I burrowed to my friends(and my brother to his friends).
Thats about it.

Borrowing and not returning is most definitely stealing. I lost Maximum Carnage for SNES that way. That fat bastard. Now I have to play the inferior Genesis version with the crap music and button lacking controller.
Somebody stole my Pokemon Blue aswell, but I think cutting me off Pokemon may have saved me money in the long term.

"Now, a fun game should always be easy to understand - you should be able to take one look at it and know what you have to do straight away. It should be so well constructed that you can tell at a glance what your goal is and, even if you don’t succeed, you’ll blame yourself rather than the game. Moreover, the people standing around watching the game have also got to be able to enjoy it." - Shiggy

I think i lost my xbox 360 as i left the room and came back it was in ashes i presume it just overheated :( only on for 1 hour, but i knew the risks when purchasing that console....

Or someone could have stolen it and replaced mine with a burnt one...

not stolen no, but back in 1996 my friend borrowed my sega saturn and sold it to buy weed, took me few months to get some money off him, it all ended up well for me though because i got N64 with the money i got from him.

Wow, the same thing happened to me when I lent a friend my Saturn. He had a bit of a drug habit. After not getting it back for a few months, I figured he sold it for drug money. He kept insisting it accidentally got packed up and he just needed to find it. Then he got arrested and put in juvenile hall.

I also had a copy of SSBM borrowed and never returned. The guy kept "forgetting" to bring it to school with him. He ended up moving out of town before I got it back.

Some people are dicks.

I've had a DS lite and a phone stolen at the same time. =[

I've never been stolen, but I stole some GameBoy Color games when I was like 11 and probably some PC games too.

My friend told me that he knew a guy that worked at his local Gamestop and got his house broken into and stole his xbox and all his games, then sometime later that thief sold it to him at his work. He tried to tell his boss about the thief because he recognized all his exact games, the dents and markings of his covers and scratches etc. but because their was no real proof about the thief the boss made him trade it in. I think he quit afterward. Being in that position would suck big time.

I never did, but my neighbor swears that the plumber stole his copy of Sonic & Knuckles for Sega Genesis.

No games stolen, but I let a friend borrow a game and I never got it back from him.

He paid me back five years later.

I also had my PKMN cards stolen. Well, not all of them, but all the worthwhile ones. I had two binders FULL of over two-hundred rare cards - every single rare (holofoil and regular, each) from the first four sets (original set + three first expansions) except for Charizard. I also had a LOT of first-edition cards and all my best-condition common and uncommon cards in those binders as well.

Both binders stolen.

At the time, I could've sold the collections for easily over two grand.
