He'd probably just be a Fox-esque character. Probably a little faster with a little less damage.

Sonic deserves to be in SSBB. Every other icon which has ever graced a Nintendo console is. If he isn't, there will be a big, black hole where he ought to be.

famousringo, not every game icon that has been on a Nintendo console has made it to Smash. Pac-Man, Mega Man, and Simon are some that immediately come to mind. And I wouldn't say Sonic "deserves" to be in a game that is basically a celebration of all things Nintendo. That's not a knock on Sonic, but third party characters are more like guests in my mind, not "deserving" of a spot that could have gone to any number of overlooked or under-appreciated Nintendo characters.

That being said, I'm almost positive Sonic is in. I'm also pretty damn sure that scan is a fake.

Why does everyone even feel that Sonic will miraculously make the game that much more of a buy. The Sonic franchise is nothing that it used to be and I personally lost interest in Sonic a long time ago......

Hell, even though Snake is in the game, I am still not convinced that he should be. I wonder how much Kojima embezzled from Nintendo to get in the game cause I am sure he is not appearing for free as video games (companies) are all about making money, not beautiful art or poetry in motion.

Regardless, the more characters the better, I guess......... but where is Luigi, Peach, Toad, Boo, Diddy Kong or any other Kong, Dark Samus (there are Bowser, Meta Knight, and Wario, why not) or tons of other Nintendo characters that actually deserve to be in the game. Snake and Sonic just shouldn't be there.......

It isn't a question of whether it's photoshopped....kinda obvious that it is. It also isn't a question of whether it's real, cause it is. The question is whether the retailers know something we don't or just threw Sonic in for the heck of it. Retailers create their own adds via Photoshop all the time, and the Sonic Heroes CGI pic is, for some reason, the most commonly used picture. I'm not holding my breath for an announcement any time soon....but I'm crossing my fingers that Best Buy and GameStop aren't screwing with us.
