Don't buy into false Blue Dragon hype. The Japanese may find it cute, but you will find the characters interminable.

Avoid it like the Black Death, which means, really avoid it.

The Black Death is overrated anyways. Tried it once, wasn't great at all.

Oh really? EGM gave it a 68, but whatever. It's 84 on metacritic so far. Brave Story on the PSP is averaging 79 so far and is probably equally as good as Blue Dragon in that they may be the best RPGs on their respective platforms. But I guess this thread is limited...

...because clearly the best RPG this month is Persona 3 on the PS2. It's averaging 88 so far, and it's EGM's game of the month.

Edit: There is also Jeanne d'Arc on the PSP which is averaging 77 so far despite 1 score of 40.

Edit 2:  Also, Picross for the DS is averaging 84. 

Sorry I'm just curious too know a good reason to avoid Blue Dragon like the Black Death. The Demo was actually fun to play, so where's the problem ?

I will be picking up Warhawk and Tiger Woods Golf 08 on my PS3.

Montana's being ridiculous...though I do agree that Blue Dragon probably won't do well. A few of my friends tried it, and they said it was both old-school yet complicated at the same time...it wasn't their cup of tea...

I never said it was a bad game, just that the characters were incredibly corny and you can't thatch a story from them.

Apologies for only quoting the bottom 2 scores from metacritic so far, but I do trust EGM (who has 3 people review each game).

Well EGM has a reputation of being severe with their reviews.
