Considering Wii Play is 10 dollars more then an extra Wiimote... i'd say yeah.  Most people have bought Wii Play for the game.

Fine, i should have put 'only' in that sentence. If Wii Play was $10 and on it's won would you buy it?

My housemate bought Wii Play, he's played it once, and the reason it got it was 'It a controller with a game.' Of course he then added that the game was utter shite but it was his decision.

 

But Wii Play is not utter shite. In fact it has a few fun mini-games. The fact that it's bundled with a controller definitely helps its sales (makes the purchase easier to justify), but that doesn't mean we can easily discount its sales.

Why would you pay more for a controller if you are never going to play the game?
Hell it has duck hunt, one of the biggest selling games of all time, so how could it be crap?

If you're going to argue that people will pay more for things that they are never going to play much, then I will use the same argument for the PS3.

Different though.

Bundling an accessory, and a game bundled with the system are two different things.  So are price. The revenue Wii play has bought in 900 million dollars (ZOMG), and the revenue the PS3 has brought in is 7.2 billion. (at ~400 price, actually much more considering a few million were sold for 5 and 6 hundred). 

That puts things into major perspective.
