Forums - Gaming Discussion - Mushroom Men Spore Wars bombed who's fault?

Hey look, good games that don't get advertisement and released during the holiday season against other big games with advertisement don't sell as well as good games that have a ton of advertisement and released during the holiday season.

Who ever saw that coming?

Neither does "Guitar Hero" or "Resident Evil" - neither of which failed.  Go troll somewhere else!

Unfortunatly IMO this is because casual ignorance... shore, the game wasnt all that well advertised, and its not a AAA+ game, but its still a solid effort from what Ive seen... and Im afraid this game wont be the only good, but overlooked Wii title... games like Madworld and NMH2 have a fair chance to be overlooked to :(

The notion of Madworld or NMH2 will be overlooked to the extent of Mushroom Men is highly unlikely.  If you want to see games overlooked, just look at the PSP's library.

What is the mistake in his text?

I missed it

Who's fault.

the " ' " replaces the "i" and joins the words.

I honestly didn't know the game was released, no retailer has it in stock, so I don't see it... guess I fell off the bad wagon, when I'm done with ToS DonW second play through, I'll find this game.

I'm Unamerica and you can too.

There's no sales data for this game. The only 2k number is the number of game profile views. This thread FAILS. Sorry.

Edit: Seems the profile views has been reset.

Yes, because Guitar Hero and Resident Evil are also brand new IP exclusive for the Wii.... wait a second.

Third party exclusive title being ignored by casual audience the in absent of any Nintendo paid ads featuring "Wii would like to pay"?? Is this really shocking?

lol, troll spray...

But seriously there is so many exemples than game even without "wii" or "mario" can actually sell (I'm talking about The Blob, Boom blox or even Zak and Wiki). Maybe it just got lost in the huge load of games of the holidays season. What it weird is that the wii does not have that much of good core games so I though people would care more.

Call me a troll or whatever if you want to....but don't try to prove your point by using THOSE examples

Edit: btw, I would happily say a game like Valkyria Chronicles or Tales of Vesperia "bombed" on the PS3/360. Low sales are low sales.....no matter what platform a game is on. But it is kind of funny that games with "Wii" or "Mario" in it are close to if not 10+ Million sellers, and then the "shovelware" like "Game Party" and such are million sellers...but new IPs that try to focus on the core audience on the Wii do so badly.

With regard to flooding games during the holiday season, David Jaffe had some pretty insightful things to say about that:

Exactly. The mere fact that 11 of the 33 million sellers on Wii have either Mario or Wii in the title, proves that it is impossible for another game to do well.

Sure, it has 22 other million sellers, which is more than the Ps3 has (21) but who really cares? It is obvious that the Wii, which is much cheaper to develop for, is an inferior choice.

Not to mention that if you take out the titles that have Mario and/or Wii in the title, the Wii has 5 other first party titles (of the 22). Here too, it should do as the Ps3, which only has 6 titles (of the 21).

If you also exclude all games that have Wii or Mario in the title, we can see the the Wiis total number of software sales is ~ 120M. The Ps3 is here too in a much better situation, with ~ 95 million.

Oh, and

One_Touch_KO

It should be Mushroom Men Spore Wars bombed - whose fault?

Whose is asking "who does it belong to" (the fault) in this case.

Who's is  the same as  "it's dead" (it is dead), and means "who is"

So the title he wrote, is actually

Mushroom Men Spore Wars bombed who is fault?

And that doesn't make any sense.
