Hello dear admins,

Is there any particular way to get NeoGeo Pocket & the Mattel Intellivision added to the game DB?

If not, no problem, I was just simply curious.  Thanks

We COULD add them if we wanted to (actually, talonman would have to do it)

but right now, there are still lots of other systems in the game database that still need to be updated (like GB/Color, GBA, Genesis, and PS2) that we would like to have finished before adding some of the other old systems.

Help out with the systems we still need to finish off, and we can get to adding those systems earlier.

Anyways, you can pm talonman if you want and see what he says, but I have a feeling he'll say no for now for the reasons I listed above.

Since we are on the subject of adding things to the site....
Could we have a separate Console DB so we can add our consoles to our profiles. I know it's extra work but it will be extremely small compared to the games db!

The idea has been tossed around, but it doesn't sit very high on the queue (if it is even there).

Since if you own a game for the system, you SHOULD own the console. Although I do agree it would be nice to have a page dedicated to each system.

I agree with the dedicated console page. We should also have Sega, 3D0, Atari, etc., forums. Just a thought.

yea, this was thrown around about a year ago, but I don't know why we never added one. Ask ioi and talonman. I'm sure it wouldn't be to hard to add another forum secion.

Right now, both Gamefaqs, and mobygames have a more complete game DB then we do. So far we have at least 5 systems that are more complete then theirs. I did the Game Gear, and it has all the games at Gamefaqs, plus a few they don't have listed, also some boxarts for European releases that they don't have.

The Game Gear section may not be 100% complete, but it is the best we can do without someone on this site owning a game and getting us all the information that gamefaqs/mobygames/wikipedia/whoever doesn't have.

Also, I know Nintendo has a list of all games released for thier systems. I think it is in PDF format, but it only provides name and year of release so it isn't all that usefull.

Sure, I've actually probably got a lot of the box art for some of the more obscure games out there. I'll be honest though, I don't know how to add the games/art etc to the DB.

If the games you submit are obscure enough to not be on gamefaqs/wikipedia/mobygames, then game admins may not aprove them for quite a while. If that is the case, I suggest pm'ing one and letting them know you have the game with boxart.
