John Williams or Howard Shore for his work on LOTR.

Don't have problem with him winning a Oscar for the first LOTR film but House of Sand and Fog should have won the Oscar instead of LOTR: Return of The King.

The torch lighting scene owned people.

I'd have to say Hans Zimmer. Mostly for The Last Samurai soundtrack to be honest.

Edit: I just haven't been able to get the god damn embed to work lately...anyways, here's a link.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

So glad Ennio finally won a legit Academy Award. Realistically he should have won back to back Academy Awards for The Mission and The Untouchables not to mention he should have gotten nominated for Once Upon a Time in the West and Once Upon a Time in America and even though it wasn't an American movie he should have gotten nominated for The Good, The Bad and The Ugly also.

Morricone, John Williams and Hans Zimmer. This is my personal top 3, and I guess it would be some people's top 3 too. They're amazing.

Hans Zimmer and Joe Hisaishi :)

Morricone is my all time favorite the other two you mentioned would easily be in my top 10.  Glad that Morricone won this Sunday and he should at least get one more Academy Award nomination in the future since he is doing the score for the next Terrence Malick project and his fist collaboration with him Days of Heaven got him a nomination.

Of Zimmers earlier scores I would say that I like The Lion King and Gladiator better then The Last Samurai.  That being said its still a pretty good score though.

That was the highlight of the night for me. I'd be pretty pissed if he didn't get the award. He truly deserves it. And, yeah, I hope he wins another one.

Well if he would win another one it would be great but I would be happy if at least gets nominated one more time, both Williams and Morricone aren't going to be around that much longer.  Morricone winning was also the highlight of the night for me, kinda was bummed that Stallone didn't win for Creed but he did win a Golden Globe for it so at least that is a pretty good consolidation prize.
