Forums - Gaming Discussion - The NXE kills 360s, the confidential 360 source was right

I have yet to have problems. I would imagine if this was more pervasive, there would be news article after news article about it. But two days after release and things are pretty calm for a worldwide rollout of a major major update. I am actually impressed by how smooth it went. The only thing that affected me was the servers getting choked.

Lol, mine died right BEFORE I could update to NXE. So I haven't had any trouble with it.

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

Now that some of the new luster has worn off, I'm able to see NXE for what it really is.

It's still extremely laggy when pressing the guide button in-game. It still hangs when loading anything on the 360, specifically, the marketplace, but it's hung when accessing friends or messages too. And aside from avatars which borderline on unusefulness, it hasn't done much for me. I'm sure some people rally are happy about Netflix and such, but it's just a shiny coat of paint on a still bad interface. And I'm more sad that I still have to see lists when I go to the XBLM. I thought it would all be slick like that, but it reverts back to the menu interface far too often for my liking.

No problems yet, I love the new interface and think it is a vast improvement. Loading the games of my Elite HD is freaking awesome.

its funny how even though 360 is so unreliable that its still more desirable then a PS3.

Mine was *really* laggy until I used it a few times, now it's actually pretty quick.  My avatars are still really laggy and I still get the occasional30 second freeze.

I like the interface, but I don't like how I can see all the different base folders.  I'll be in My XBox and I'll want to go to friends but never know if I should go up or down.  Just because I'm pretty impatient I'll usually be scrolling quickly and even miss the tab I'm looking for and have to scroll back.  >_>

Hopefully that will just fix itself as I get use to where things are.

My only other real gripe about it is the big grey oval that takes up the bottom half of the screen.  I really wish we could just have the option to turn that off so I can actually see my background.

Upgraded but no problem yet. I don't doubt that some people have had problems, but I'm not jumping to conclusions regarding the scope of the issue. Eventually we'll find out why NXE is causing problems for some.

No problems with my update, except for my 360 freezing for a couple of seconds after looking at my friends profile.

I've had a couple of minor issues with the update. Kind of expected it to be honest. It's not like I had any choice. But nothing major bad happened.
