A bit optomistic in my opinoin.

Still you never know.

Speaking at today’s annual BMO Capital Markets Interactive Entertainment Conference, Microsoft entertainment division CFO Mindy Mount insinuated that Xbox 360 is to become a 100 million-selling machine.

Mount said that by the end of this month, Microsoft predicts the console’s global installed base will reach 25 million units, surpassing that of the first Xbox.

“It’s a great milestone for us, but it’s still only a start, when you consider that history shows that more than three-fourths of a console’s sales come at a price of $199 or lower,” a price point that the company reached just a month ago.

Mount also said that tonight’s NPD figures will show a 2:1 sales ratio to PS3 in the US in October.

i was predicting somewhere in the 40 millions.....

=p And I thought I was optimistic with my 45 million.

A little optimistic to me--at one point I thought it possible, but now that they're in an unending dogfight with the PS3 I can't see it. 70 million max (which is FAR more than any second-place console has ever done, and even more than the NES)

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

Tag, courtesy of fkusumot: "Why do most of the PS3 fanboys have avatars that looks totally pissed?"
"Ok, girl's trapped in the elevator, and the power's off.  I swear, if a zombie comes around the next corner..."

The new ps2?

100 million consoles? Maybe if the 360 stays on the market for 12 years. And all of its competitors agree not to release competing systems...

My Website

End of 2008 totals: Wii 42m, 360 24m, PS3 18.5m (made Jan. 4, 2008)

100M is very unlikely, especially when it has very strong competition in the PS3 and well the Wii....nuff said. It used to be one console which stood out but that is no longer the case, all 3 consoles are selling well and the handhelds are doing great as well.

lol 100 million 360 owners. More like 50 million.

Pixel Art can be fun.

what audience is left for microsoft to sell over 75 more million 360's too?

Whats stopping them after all it is very popular with a big library of games.
