Final Fantasy IV Sequel Downloads Reach 2 Million

Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy IV The After for mobile phones in Japan has been downloaded over 2 million times.

The game is an episodic sequel to the original Final Fantasy IV, which started its release schedule in February of this year -- new "chapters" appear on a mostly monthly basis.

In Japan, the game is available for Docomo's FOMA 903i and the 703i series, and for AU's WIN BREW series.

Normally I'd say this would never come to North America, but with last week's announcement that Square Enix will release an iPhone game this winter -- the Final Fantasy tactical sim Crystal Defenders -- all bets are off.

Chris says: Come onnnn, DSi Ware. I played this at Tokyo Game Show and it was pretty awesome-looking.

I hope it comes to NA. Why didn't they localize Before Crisis anyway?

Quem disse que a boca é tua?

Qual é, Dadinho...?

Dadinho é o caralho! Meu nome agora é Zé Pequeno!

this won't sell well in NA imo

Now if we can get an upgraded PSP or DS version, that would be awesome....

I thought they announced this game for WiiWare?

ugh, no wonder SE qualit is going down. This milk is outselling their few original games.
