funny my demo ran smoothly, il test the 360 version over the coming week.

either way i will never buy the 360 version as there is no point, my 360 is dedicated hd-dvd player now.

seriously dude, sell your 360, you obviously hate it along with all its games.

stop moaning about it and sell it already!

Sell it and buy a graphics card that way you can play all games released on the PC+Consoles and PC/360 on a machine you'll actually give justice to.

Tease.

Based on my time on this board i have been called a PS3 fanboy hundreds if not thousands of time, so i think i can voice my opinion on the PS3 version of the game. I just went and did a quick run through of the demo skipping the beginning part. I encountered constant screen tearing, at some times it was insane, it appeared to be many different screen tears all over the place.

The best part to see massive screen tearing is to stand 1-3 feet from a door and move the camera from side to side. The door appears to be torn apart before your eyes all over the place. Even when the game takes control of the camera i noticed screen tearing. During the videos at the end of the game i even noticed screen tearing.  I have a 60gb PS3 and was playing the game on a 32" tube TV.

How is it that I'm going no screen tearing at all (none at any doors too), and yet others are getting more? I know the TV I'm playing on is good, but surely it can't elimate screen tearing?

With a slower response time on older/cheaper LCDs, screen tear can stay on the screen for longer. Also some people are more sensitive than others. They may see it, but they aren't bothered at all 'cause they simply don't care.

Well, it's certainly not because I'm not bothered by it. Screen tearing killed the PS3 version of Assassin's Creed for me (it made me feel nauseous), and is my biggest gripe with Heavenly Sword (yeup, a bigger problem than its short length).

The TV I'm playing on is a BeoVision 8. I'm not sure what it's response time is, though.

The game was developed on the PS3, so it's not surprise.

I'll give a more professional opinion on it later tonight. I doubt many people on the forums (pretty much anyone who isn't a PC gamer) are qualified to actually tell the difference between two such similar games. I'm often saddened by the complete lack of tech knowledge here. Some people even think Far Cry 2 runs well on their consoles.

Far Cry 2 runs very well on the 360. I made a comparison with my brother (who has the PC version). Everything on maximum and besides better AA they were pretty even.

Thank you for proving my point so wonderfully with that post.

I played both this weekend as well. Once on my PS3 and again on my friend who brought over his 360 since mine is being shipped back from the Lonestar state. I didn't notice screen tearing on either although I don't seem to notice it much anyway unless it's glaringly bad. I'm not saying it's not there but it's one of the graphical hiccups that I don't spot easily.

I did notice the aliasing on both versions which was disappointing. I didn't take a fine comb to see if one was better or worse but I noticed it regardless. The only other thing I saw was the coloring on the two versions was a little different. Seemed a little brighter (too bright) on the 360 version. But an easy adjustment of the display could fix that.

I'm interested into what Naz has to say too since he seems to be able to spot graphical things a little better than I. Either way I think this game will probably be a rental anyway. It was awesome but I don't know how the replayability will be. $60 is hard money earned with so many good games out this holiday.
