Maybe that doesn't sound like a lot, but consider that there are only roughly 60.000 Ps3s in Norway. Almost 1 out of every 5 people have pre-ordered it. I think the titles that are more pre-ordered than it are GTA:SA and GTA IV, but I'm not sure.

 

 12k only in Norway thats alot.

Okay, I was a bit wrong with the 60.000 Ps3's in Norway.

http://forum.pcvsconsole.com/viewthread.php?tid=20979&page=123 claims that there were 57.000 in February, if we keep the trend, which means that it could be close to 100.000 now, meaning that "only" 1/8 have pre-ordered it.

Well, I'd say this means it has a change to become in the top 3 single plat non-bundled games in Norway this gen.

For a comparison, MKWii had 3K pre-orders in Norway I think, and that is the best selling Wii game in Norway I believe

Haven't seen a single ad for that game here in sweden.

A reason why Norway and Iceland get so many ads for Ps3, could be that Sony actually makes money off each Ps3 sold here.

For each Ps3 sold in Norway, the revnue is about 6000 Yen. I believe that Sony has said a Ps3 costs 5200 yen to make (but I may be wrong here), meaning that they earn close to 80 dollars pr Ps3 sold here. In Iceland, it is even more, and Ps3 is even more dominant there (I believe it has sold 25.000 units, and Iceland has a population of less than 250.000 people, it's insane over there).
