Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Mario Kart Wii is kind hard in unlocking everything.

I'm really having trouble with the time trials expert ghosts (guess it's just not second nature for me), and of course, no FAQs or advice on the matter on gamefaqs, oh well, guess I'll just have to stick it out.

But I have learned it is possible to get three stars on a mission? Good lord, i don't know if it requires being good or just luck. I'm having a hard enough time getting first place on some 150cc courses, though I imagine using "Automatic" is the problem. I'm willing to bet Manual allows for more manipulation of the kart in racing.

Anyone else have any thoughts?

about 150cc , CPU is programmed to rape you.

its possible but it take lots of luck and its more frustating than rewarding.

I thought you sold back your Wii? Shouldn't you change your signiture?

I have unlocked mostly everything except the second Mii outfit and Dry bowser.

150CC is a b***ch Dx
The ghost trials are just plain masochist

I think I just gave up.honestly...

anyway good luck!

I have unlock all the characters but I have yet to unlock all the vehicles

@Onimusha
Try the bowser motorcycle or the proyectil (spanish name) and manual.

I have unlocked everything, but still don't have 3star ranking on any cup

For time trial - watch the staff ghost, pay special attention to the kart/bike they are using, where they use their mushrooms, and what line they take.

Use the magicruiser for Sherbert land and the beach level with the crabs. On sherbert land, the entire course is offroad, and the magicruiser has the best offroad stats in the game. On the beach level, take the magicruiser and drive in the water pretty much all the time - much faster

Use manual. That's all I have to say about that.

If you have any questions about specific courses, let me know

not yet, got people interested, so i am waiting for them to get the money :)

Hard ghosts are the best! They teach you all the sneaky little tricks. Where to get and extra trick for a boost, and where to skip the ramp because it will actually slow you down.

They don't know everything, though. That's what gives you a chance to get ahead.

I don't get this. Unless you play like a complete moron just driving and not thinking at all, beating the 150cc should be a breeze after the first 5-6 tries on each cup.

That is VGChartz LONGEST review. And it's NOT Cute Kitten DS

I haven't played in a while, but I only got 3 stars on 150cc once, and when I did I was completely shocked. In many of the races I was lagging behind (12th place in the last race, even), I recall using 2 stars in a row at the very end and barely managed 1st (held onto it, using it before item pickup). Really, I've no clue how the star rank thing works.

2 stars is much more managable, though I had major trouble on mirror cup. The whole mirror thing really screws with me.
