2006: Gears of War
2007: Super Mario Galaxy
2008: Gears of War 2
I think they want to avoid that. And I really want to see how they improve on the first Gears of War.

Why, exactly would they want to avoid that? And who is they exactly?
I don't know that Gears 2 is GOTY, but if it deserves it, it should get it, regardless of what awards Gears 1 recieved.
I expect, from all the glowing previews this game has recieved that it will average mid to high 90's. However, if it doesn't, that would mean absolutely nothing to me, as I will still be playing the hell out of it. Lower aggregrate scores would only mean something to someone who wanted to marginalize the value of this game to the 360's library.

It's because the Official Xbox Magazine (UK) also reviewed Super Mario Galaxy, right! That was a great game on the 360!!! oh wait a minute...
I'm sure people will be buying Gears 2 no matter what the review scores are anyway. I know I'm picking it up no matter what score it gets, because I really enjoyed the first one.

OXM isn't biased like other official magazines. OXM UK gave the first one a 9 and Halo 3 got the same score too. I expect a 9.5 and I want to see what they have to say about the whole game and not just the first act or multiplayer.
I'm gonna say about 8.5 for most reviews. Someone needs to be a skeptic :)
I'm gonna say either 9.5/10. This game is godly.

Now Playin': PS3|Resistance 2, LBP, Uncharted and Fifa 09, PSP| Ratchet and Clank: Size matters, 360| Gears of war 2 and Fallout 3.
10/10 96 on metacritic overall
I reckon it will have the same metacritic as number 1 ( 94)

It's not gonna outdo first game score, equal or less that's my prediction.
