Forums - General Discussion - How many here will cry if McCain wins?

Oh boy I see someone in here is in denial.

They aren't statistically tied anywhere but North Carolina.

So here is a scenario right here:
Obama wins VA. Obama is up 6.3 points in VA. He has commercials air every 40 minutes or so.
Obama could lose Ohio, Florida, Nevada, Colorado, North Carolina, Missouri and still reach 273 electoral votes, making him President.

He is either winning or statistically tied in each of those states right now.

Unless something HUGE happens globally within the next few weeks that doesn't involve the economy, Barack Obama is going to win and win by enough to cause a Republican party reformation. Its a win win there i think, since the neo-con run Republican party is just shitty and corrupt.

Weren't they saying roughly the same thing about Gore and Kerry around this time?

Neither Gore nore Kerry ever contested states like Virgina, West Virginia, etc.

And neither of them was ever up by 10 points nationally.

McCain would have to someone reverse his whole campaign in 9 states who favor Obama more and more with every poll. And do it with no economic plan, a crappy health plan, and a vice president who is "likable", but thought as being unqualified by more people than not for VP.

It could happen, but not the way things are going right now.

I agree. So many things have gone in the toilet for McCain. Sequence of events, Hurricane, Economy, dumb shit vice president, extremist right wing nut bags. It's a tough comeback to make

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

Ohh i do feel for sorry for him when he is defending the man's integrity from his own supporters, conservative media talking points and himself (his other self). Pitiful, the guy is not a sociopath and he will loose because he's got morals and has learned to just shut up for a minute and be honorable.

Well I wouldn't.

I would feel sorry for everyone knowing that if he dies of old age, Sarah Palin would be president. In which case I would laugh and move back to Canada as soon as possible.

@MFk -- His mom is 96 and was actively campaigning for him! I doubt that he would die in first term if elected.

I would laugh, America does not need another Bush in the white house.

I would rather have someone who had a little experience as governor than someone who had a little experience in congress.

Governor of what... Alaska.  That worthless state in the Union.  No offense to those that live there but that isn't expereience.  I'm not saying Obama has an upperhand on experience but he does have more than Palin does.  REally it should be Joe Biden going for president than Obama but unfortunately there are other things that stopped this.

Point being Palin has nothing to contribute whatsoever other than up tempo attitude.  Otherwise she's not fit to do anything other than run the biggest empty lot in the world.

you don't know much about Alaksa do you?

I had a tear when I heard McCain was the republican representative. Ron Paul ftw but that didn't happen :(. I am already disappointed with the 2 presidential candidates, but I am leaning towards Obama and will support him fully at this point.
