twesterm, shut up and go troll somewhere else. Sega caused their own downfall, it had nothing to do with the low percent of people playing burned games. The PS1, PS2 and xbox all have a higher percent of burned games on their systems. The DC tried to bring the systems on to the internet when highspeed internet was still low and most people never played games online. Maybe sega should of tried to promote the system more aswell. Along with having no support from EA is just going to kill your system.

Fine. The DS failed for other reasons then but it still doesn't change the fact I wouldn't brake for you if I saw you crossing the street. I don't think you even come close to realizing how much time and effort goes into making a small mod let alone an entire game and when you buy over 100 games you're hurting the people that brought you those games. By stealing those games you take money away from the developers and make it harder for them to bring you anymore games. Making games on the Dreamcast was generally a waste of time because it was just so easy to get pirated games because of jerks like you.

You can call me getting upset with dorks that pirate trolling, I call it hating people that steal and think they're justified for some insane reason.

Never got a Saturn, may get one eventually.
Never got a Dreamcast, though I really want to get one (my apartmentmate has one)
Never got an N-Gage, never want one.

I do, however, have a Virtual Boy, in working order, with 9 out of the 14 games made for it in the US. (9 out of 22 if you include Japan-exclusives). I intend to get those last five at some point or another. I wish it took off more, I love it to death, especially Virtual Boy Wario Land, but I can definitely understand why it never took off.

twesterm, I'm guessing you have never downloaded any music on the internet either, people download games and music because its crap no one is going to buy, i bought all my games for the PS2, but i never bought any for the DC.

I could go out right now get the 360 and get it modded and 50+ games for it too, they are still making money on my purchase of the system, who cares about games that i would of never bought anyways. You think anymore than a handful of games are worth over $50, why do you think people are still buying the PS2, they know they can walk into the store and get the systemn and over 20 games for under $500.

I will admit, I use to download music because I was a little snot that didn't know any better and thought I was too cool to buy music and that it didn't matter. Later, learned my lesson and I get things off iTune mainly now (every now and then Yahoo when iTunes doesn't have the song).

And I'm only assuming you still pirate media, you could have stopped by now (and by what you say, you have) and commend you for that.  My general experience is that people who do actively pirate (get 100 games) continue to pirate.

You must be crazy paying for music when you can download for free, I have no intention of ever paying for my music again as long as it's offered free somewhere.

They have got away with charging us rip off prices for years, now it's their turn to feel ripped off.

Prince has the right idea giving his latest album away free in the UK, not that I'm a prince fan.

I bought the dreamcast damned I loved it :s it really sucks that it has (failed).

Saturn + DC = gdlk

You really had to know your shit to pick out the games, but both got shitty-ass media coverage. If it wasn't for Gamefun, I wouldn't have found about 3/4 of the greats on Saturn until I saw them for $150 on eBay years later. Saturn is still my fav system.

did the dreamcast have alot of shelf room for their games at video game stores??

i own a dreamcast and I own oodles of games for it. In fact, I still play Space Channel 5 from time to time. DC had the most arcade fighting games (i.e. street fighter everything and capcom vs. everything). Loved it!

I'm sad it had an unglorious end. If Sega were still around, I'd be in the Sega camp. Since the end of the Dreamcast era, i've switched over to the Nintendo camp.
