Are 360 fans this bad at making predictions, or is it only with games they hate?

Lol, this reminds me of the various people saying that MGS4 will sell around 300k first week only.....

Face it, the games sell quite a bit if there is hype and good previews (which there are in this case). They sell even more if there is advertising and bundling going on.

It's like the perfect storm, this will sell like mgs4, at least, since it is aimed at a larger market.....

Flop is a relative term. 300k for the PS3's second most hyped game (after Killzone 2) would be a disgrace.

Nonetheless, the game will sell far better than that. Originally I believed under two million would be a bitter disappointment relative to expectations. Now with it bundled in Europe and perhaps elsewhere, I think anything under three million will be severely disappointing.

Still, relative flop or not, its hard to see Sony not making money off this game.

for the op to be right the game would have to sell less than lair and haze.  I just don't see that as being in the realm of possibility.

This topic started off rediculous and then became even more so as time went on. Now it's just a giant flame war which I'm sure we can expect again next week. No good has come out of this topic, and no good will ever come out of it because...

Sorry, but it is plainly obvious that the OP is just stiring shit!

lets look at some facts;

1. It's getting bundled
2. It's is the No:1 hyped game at the moment, just look at all the threads being created around the net for LBP. And, it looks to go well beyond the hype too!
3. SONY is advertising and pushing it more than MGS4 and/or any other game yet for the PS3! So, look at MGS4's sales, 3-4 million.
4. The amount of positive press is amazing and it should get a very high score from meta.
5. It suits Japan and has an amazing look and style that millions will fall in love with.

I have 51 PSN friends so far. I asked all of them if they are picking LBP up. 47, [including myself], said yes and on day 1!
