Last Christmas, the PS3 carried the Blu-Ray format to victory. This Christmas, I think the Blu-Ray format will start carrying the PS3.

 FFXIII Versus will have no real imact on sales IMO. Neither will PlayTV as it's simply a box that turns a PS3 into a Freeview receiver and PVR. If it could be plugged into a cable box or satelite receiver then it might have some impact.

LOL. There is no way Versus is hitting this December. That's a placeholder date that was probably set back in '06 or something.

Also, what is it with people who quote the slogan of the products they like? Am I the only person who's kind of unnerved by that?

Penned in for a 31 December 2008 release I believe. FF XIII Versus will not come out until after FF XIII launches on PS3.

he is right, the PS3 is doomed to be in 3rd place since we all know that :
1. NO one cares about bluray and the influence it has on the PS3 as a selling point
2. NO one thinks PS3 games are appealing
3. NO one buys electronics based off of brand name
4. Sony will NEVER cut the PS3 price again.

truth be told thread starter, the only game i plan to purchase on the 360 is (ofcourse) GeOW2. It may be your opinion that the 360 has better exclusives, and that's fine, but it's not a fact. Please don't go around stating that PS3 owners have made a "bad choice" as if you know if they value their console or not, it's not your place and will only start fanboy wars, not everyone has the same tastes as you.

Heck, if you want to hear about "bad choices", lets talk about the time I waited in line to buy the Wii just to be dissipointed in it's library?. Is the fact that the Wii will end up being first in just about every country going to make me feel like I've made a "good choice"?

if you have enjoyed your machine then there is no bad choice...only when you haven't gotten any play out of it and never will have you made the wrong choice for you

i was just going to say that^. the exclusive lists of his is full of dribble only a few noteworthy games in the 360 list.

it will be a close call this fall, but i feel ps3 will have the edge.

lowering your price to compete with an already more expensive product isnt a good sign.

thank you, sometimes, you have to dumb it down for dumb people. In some cases, those people will block the out sarcasm themselves to feel better. In this case, both.

I think it would be very unwise to count the ps3 out of the race.
