Looks great, back to the older days



I am a PC gamer, and also have a NDS now, but without access to a Nintendo Wii until End of 2007.

Currently playing: Super Smash Brothers Brawl(Wii), Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer(DS), Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime (DS), WiiFit(Wii)

Games Recently Beaten: Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King (Normal; Very Hard after the next DLCs become available)

Looks like it will be a fun game...a good time-waster...and multiplayer is a definite plus.

A return to the orignal Contra will be quite welcomed. I never got into the newer iterations of the series but the older titles were always solid fun to go back to, despite the bitching difficulty. Similarly, Contra 4 looks like it also was developed with the near impossible difficulty on top of the old-school visuals and gameplay.

Apparently the developers are the same people behind Ping Pals, a horrible pictochat type game, that received a cumulative score of 0.5/10 from EGM, and didn't fair too much better from other reviewers. Nice to see that they seem to be doing a good job with Contra 4 despite their track record.

Contra 4 is in any way possible different than a Pictochat game...so hopefully the Contra game is more suited to their ability.

 That's been canned I think, switched to 2 player.

I've also heard that they may have downgraded the 4-players to 2-player only.

God I missed Contra. Thank you so much Konami for reviving it in a way that doesn't suck (finally)!

I was never even aware of 4 player...that would've been sweet...but even 2 player is fine with me.
