Forums - Sony Discussion - Kotaku: Socom: Confrontation Priced, Dated

" SOCOM: Confrontation will be hitting North American stores and the Playstation Network on Oct. 14 for $40 to $60, depending on the bundle you choose.

The SOCOM folks broke down the bundle options on their site a bit earlier today and it looks an awful lot like the options Warhawk gamers were given. While they haven't yet nailed it down, the team hopes to have the game hit the rest of the world at the same time.

And now for your choices:

$59.99 SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation (Bundle Version)
Includes SOCOM Confrontation, a newly designed Bluetooth® Headset for the PLAYSTATION®3 system and exclusive Behind the Scenes videos.

$39.99 SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation (Stand Alone Version)
For all of the people who want SOCOM: Confrontation on a disc. Does not include the headset or the Behind the Scenes videos.

$39.99 SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation on the PlayStation Network

SOCOM Confrontation downloadable from the PSN without ever leaving you couch. Does not include the headset or the Behind the Scenes videos."

This is like Warhawk. The retail game had the headset and was fully priced while the PSN was $20 cheaper and then later, a headsetless retail copy was released (don't know in how many areas) for $40.

What do fellow Vgchartz goers think?

Around the Network

A good price imo. I probably will get it :).

Good price, though I wont be buying it, though I though it would be coming in september

Now it looks as though Sony will have LittleBigPlanet, Resistance, SOCOM and Motorstorm within a few weeks, though I am sure they will put MS in november even if it is ready for december

i can't wait for this game

I haven't been interested enough in the Socom games to buy it, though that doesn't mean I wont at least rent it and check it out.

I hope the Sixaxis motion control functions well for the leaning.

Around the Network

Great price, although I'm not interested in it.

I'll be getting the stand alone version. I hope it is good, seems like it will be better than SOCOM III, but not quite as good as I/II. Anyways, I've really been wanting some more socom. I've actually started playing II again every now and then.

100 % getting the stand alone BD version

YAY!!!!! i cant wait to get this game when it comes out.

I might pick up the $60 version since i don't have a wireless headset.
