I find it amazing how people in this thread attempt to justify their purchase based on multi-media options that have no bearing on games - this is a VIDEOGAME CONSOLE, RIGHT?!?!?!? Who the hell cares whether you can run Office on it, watch movies, do your laundry with it... ...and the one area that the PS3 lacks the greatest in, is the area that should be first and foremost on any videogame console - GAMES!!!!! Good God, what is wrong with you people? You're willing to shell out $600 for the 'possibility' of games? Why not actually wait for the games that matter to you and THEN purchase a console? Who knows - you might even save $100 in the process when the price is reduced... No way - I wouldn't be caught dead purchasing a PS3 at this time. And with every day that passes, and another former Sony exclusive winds up on a rival console, it's one less reason for me to EVER plunk down the cash on that console. I'll hold my breath on MGS4 - let's see where that game winds up and how good it actually is. And let's see what the PS3 actually costs at the time that game finally comes out - maybe it'll motivate me to finally get a PS3... ...but still, not at $600 for one game - they better do ALOT better than that.
