It is a shame about the X360: it has a great library of games and an excellent online service. It is well known the widespread X360 hardware failure has severely cost MS this generation. It will be lucky if MS manages to break even on the X360, when all the numbers are in. A further 4 billion dollars would have to be made to erase the losses of the original XBox sink machine.

How many threads you need like this? 1000? I don't care who will be on the top. 360 already has too many users to be abandon by developers. This is the most important thing. 5 years are enough for a console life cycle. They need to keep short distance from PCs and PCs are already ahead.

The PS3 has a 10 year life plan. PS4 would be released a year after the next XBox. XBox 3600- that sounds like the name of the next XBox just add an extra zero.

It will sink, but very slowly. MGS4 has proven that people are willing to buy the PS3 if the games are good enough. If Final fantasy XIII gets an average of 9.5, i assure you it will bring the PS3 to a golden age in Japan, and will bury any hope the 360 has of gaining some ground there.

I think PS3 will overtake the 360 sometime in early 09. From there it will be downhill for Microsoft.

If you submerged the Titanic and an xbox 360 in the Atlantic ocean I think the 360 would sink first, so yes, you are correct.

question is. Does MS truly care to be #1 in console wars? x360 is selling better then xbox.

x360 - improved what was done

Maybe a Wii could float, it's much lighter.

EDIT - it's also much smaller though, so it would probably sink too.

With all of the announcements for JRPGs on the 360 that seem to be exclusive, I think its a bit early to label it a sinking ship...we'll see in a year though if they helped at all.
