Forums - Gaming Discussion - Myth of Metal Gear Solid 4 being too much for xbox 360 to handle...

Oh one more quick question about Ninja Gaiden 2, and honestly I don't mean this in a flaming regard, was the camera player controlled or fixed? MASSIVE difference from what I've seen in past generations lol.

Of course branch hints allow you to never 'mispredict' a branch.

I was considering replying to your post in detail, but then I saw this part. It's pretty clear you don't know much about programming, so let me save my energy to argue with the people who actually do.

Funny guy you are:

nAo (PS3 developer Marco Salvi who FYI also has a 360 dev kit , of NAO32 fame, which implemented 4xMSAA and HDR in HS):

"CELL SPEs support dynamic branch hints, which give to the experienced programmer the opportunity to never 'mispredict' a branch and to not pay any cost of it as long as you can have enough free instructions to cover branch hints latency."

@ChronotriggerJM:

It's player controlled. Even Ninja Gaiden Black had a controllable camera, and that's a Xbox game.

@MikeB: That quote doesn't contradict what I said. But seriously, I'm tired of arguing with you and your constant quoting. It's like following a pre-made script, and I'm not even sure you fully understand your quotes. It certainly doesn't seem so.

Umm, it's been confirmed for many months now that it's actually a 50gb dual-layer Blu-ray Disc and all of the cutscenes are generated in real-time by the game's engine. The audio is only available in standard Dolby Digital so you can't claim the space is wasted by uncompressed audio either.

Complete and utter FAIL.

Links showing that is a full 50GB Blu-ray disk please...

 U got it

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metal_Gear_Solid_4

use the find button thing and type in 50gb and it'll show you the piece and a link to the source.

Playing:

1)Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Rings of Fate (DS)

2)Neverwinter Nights: Hoards Of The Underdark

3)I don't know

Lost Odyssy is a nice game, but to be honest MGS4 does have higher res textures, but anyway both games look nice, and if i did ever buy another X360 i would defo get that game.

What about NG2, does that rival MGS4 because i have never sen that game in motion, and i dont mean buy resolution and that i mean just graphically???????????????
NG2 motion it looks amazing as it runs at 60fps.  But to be fair, its textures arn't as nice as MGS4's.

NG2s textures aren't as nice as Ninja Gaiden Sigma's.

Ryu has no texture on him whatsoever, and detail is lacking throughout.  Smooth gameplay though.

Ok what's up with 360 fans arguing you don't really need 1080p and high quality sound stuff.

Why didn't you guys buy a Wii if you don't really care that much about picture quality or sound ?

PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !

Can someone definitively (with RECENT links) tell me if MGS4 is in 1080p or 720p?

Then why are so many people whining about poor camera ;-;? Don't you have control of it? Or is it semi-controlled?

I think everyone can understand what he wrote there in reply to someone noting the SPUs don't have branch predictor hardware.

I think quoting reliable sources is very helpful to produce more meaningful conversations.
