Forums - Sony Discussion - Everytime Sony announces a first party game, it's always Questioned.

I don't get the part of this article. Its almost like he answers his own question haha. Is it supposed to be a self realization or is he really wanting us to restate what he just showed us.

Lol you should see the Wii list.

Mario Galaxy - Just another Mario?
Wiifit - Gimmick/Fad?
Wii - Gimmick/Fad?

Mario Party - King of Party games?
BWii - Too much like Battalion Wars
SSX Blur - Too hard to play?
Zelda Twilight Princess - Gimmicky controls.

etc. etc. etc. = let the FUD end here.

Lair was questioned about whether it was a good or bad game, it turned out bad.

Well, it was a bad game so it probably deserved the questioning.

Heavenly Sword was questioned, it turned out average.

Anygame that hypes what it looks like over what it plays like deserves to be questioned.

Ratchet & Clank: TOD was questioned, it turned out good yet too short for everyone.

I don't know about it being too short (I have never heard that and I didn't finish it) but was this game every actually questioned or are you just making things up?

Resistance: FOM was questioned, turned out good yet gamers said "It's no Halo"

This game just isn't that good. It only sold so much because it was a launch game (and don't get me wrong, not a bad launch game at all).

Motorstorm was questioned, turned out decent, yet gamers said "It's boring"

I didn't think there were a lot of doubts about this one leading up to release but it was in fact pretty meh.

Killzone/Heavy Rain/Infamous/White Knight Story although have not been released yet, have all been put into question whether it will be good or not.

Killzone 2 - See Heavenly Sword comment.

Infamous - From what I've heard this is just supposed to be bad.

Gran Turismo Prologue, despite excellent reviews, people say "It's a demo, not a real game"

Isn't it a demo and not the real game?

Littlebigplanet in particular has recieved the most put into question, even though people who have played it said it is going to be the most innovative game ever, 360 fanboys in particular would say "What's the point of the game??"

I question the game but not for that reason. I don't think the game is going to get the insane community it deserves and it will fall into a small close knit community.

Even MGS4 is being panned with "Too many cutscenes" or "Installs" despite it's gameplay being impressive.

When more than one source comes forward talking about insane long cut scenes it's alright to get worried.

The biggest Irony is between Haze and Too Human. Both have recieved huge ass delays, yet it was Haze that was said to be not so good before it even came out which it wasn't. But for Too Human, people are saying it's going to be "Awesome" even though they were the same people who said delays is not a good thing for the game which means it isn't good.

I don't know about Too Human, but everything about Haze screamed overly generic. Also the delays with Haze were a month before release when print ads were already being published with the release date so the delays are very different.

The point is, every single first party game Sony announces, it will be put into question and generally negative each time. Why is that? Why are first party Microsoft games always praised even without screenshots, trailers or little details of that game?

Some games just deserve to be questioned and don't think *only* Sony games are questioned.

Halo 3 - is it going to be just another Halo?

Super Mario Galaxy, Super Mario Kart Wii, Super Smash Bros Brawl - Haven't we already bought this game?

Also, as for Uncharted (since someone mentioned it), the game had a really unimpressive demo which raised a lot of questions. Luckily the game at least turned out to be good.

You don't know much about Too Human and yet InFamous is going to be bad? There is hardly any game play videos of InFamous unlike Too Human which tourned out to be pathetic and the hype almost died on this game considering that the game has been in development for 10 years.

The problem mainly is that almost every one of these titles are being hyped and don't live up to that hype.

It also happens on other systems as well, but I agree that a lot of the Sony main titles are questioned a lot.

What does this even mean? "Questioned?" As in "I wonder if this will be any good? I do that to practically every game ever made by any developer.

Why is this a bad thing? Or unusual? Ocourse there will be trolls who say "lol Sony is badz," as every platfform manufacturer encounters. But just as simply, of course people who are genuinely interested will genuinely question the quality of the game as it approaches. That's the reasonable and appropriate reaction to being interested in a game.

This post smacks of false-victim syndrome. It would be like if I said: "Why do people criticize Nintendo?" When obviously everyone is criticized, not just Nintendo, and the only reason I single Nintendo out is because I care about them so much I only notice when they are criticized.

So you're saying since I don't know much about Too Human Infamous can't be bad?  I can't question whether Too Human is going to be good or not because I haven't payed it any attention, I can question Infamous because I have looked at things on that.  It's pretty simple.

Unlike InFamous we have gameplay videos of Too Human which are bad considering the time it has taken to develop. And there is hardly anything there to look at for IF.

Hey, I'm just saying what I've seeing of Infamous and from what I've heard of it, it just sounds bad.  Too Human could be bad too, I have no clue because I haven't seen anything of it so I have no reason to comment on it.

Its because the playstation houses the best games in a lot of genres, making other fanboys jealous.

Third person shooter: MGS
RPG: Final Fantasy
Racer: Gran Turismo
Fighting: Tekken
Third person adventure (soon to be): Uncharted
FPS: Resistance (when the 2nd and eventual third come out)

The wii has mario and the 360 has RROD.

That post was sarcasm right? I mean its the PS3 fanboys that cry like newborn babies everytime game gets announce for 360. I mean I can't speak for all 360 owners but its nice to actually be able to play games instead post lists on forums touting the greatness of games that haven't seen release yet. GT5 isn't out. Tekken 6 isn't out. Final Fantasy XIII isn't out. Any time a 360 exclusive is announced PS3 fanboys say the game isn't that good, then you see the same posters jump for joy when the same game gets ports to PS3 a year later. PS3 owners seem to be the jealous ones, either they are jealous of the Wii's sales or jealous of the 360's lineup.

Third person shooter: MGS (Agreed)
RPG: Final Fantasy (Playstation doesn't "completely" house it. Could switch any time)
Racer: Gran Turismo (Agreed)
Fighting: Tekken (Mortal Komnat? Street Fighter? Brawl?)
Third person adventure (soon to be): Uncharted (Mario? Zelda?)
FPS: Resistance (when the 2nd and eventual third come out) (You don't even know how good the next one is. This is why we question the games. What about Bioshock, Portal, Halo?)

The wii has mario and the 360 has RROD.

You also forgot some.

Platformer: Super Mario Galaxy
Action-Adventure: Twilight Princess
Point-and-click: Zack and Wiki
Online: Halo
Mini-Games: WiiFit
Innovation: WiiSports
Party Game: Brawl
Puzzle: Zack and Wiki
