Forums - Nintendo Discussion - My Pokemon Ranch is now available on WiiWare.

My Pokémon Ranch is on WiiWare and I'm humiliated

So I log on to WiiWare this afternoon, and what do I see is the latest addition to the service? My Pokémon Ranch. A jolt of fear shot through me. "How did they find it?!" I shouted aloud. "Was it the FCC? The SEC? I know they've all been looking for My Pokémon Ranch, but I never thought it would come to this!" I had just called my secretary Beverly to warn her and to order her to start putting Caterpies into the shredder before the Feds got to them when I realized my error.

Apparently, My Pokémon Ranch (Nintendo, 1 player, 1,000 Wii Points) is a game that lets you introduce your Miis and your Pokémon (they can be imported from Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl) and allow them to hang out together. It is not, literally, my Pokémon ranch, though I think it's an error that anyone could make. But don't worry, the shredding was promptly halted.

I loled at the article.  It's a neat concept, but I never spent much time with Diamond, so it doesn't interest me too much.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

I keep reading posts in blog comments and such stating that you are delivered a Mew if you drop 999 onto a ranch. Anyone know if this is actually true or just a bunch of people parroting the same wrong information?

I guess this title makes sense, though. I've got nearly all the boxes on my copy of Pearl full and have been debating what I was going to do to clean it all up.

Went through almost three boxes of breeding Combees just to try and get one Impish Female with stats that didn't stink ...

I just downloaded it

Your review sounds reasonable. Some people are going to want it because they can store 1000 pokemons at the farm and that would be a reason to shell out the $10. And what happens when you level up the ranch?

You unlock things that you should have been able to do from the start.  At first you can't freely look around, you just choose a Pokemon or Mii and the camera follows it around.  Then once you unlock free-mode(can't remember the exact name), you can control the camera and move it around freely.  The ranch also becomes bigger when more pokemon are added...
