Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Super Smash Bros. Brawl Official Updates

Brawl is looking good by the way!!! All I'm waiting for is two characters which are probably hidden just like in Melee. Mewtz and Jiggz.

So far the characters I'll be playing with are MetaKnight, ZELDA not Shiek, Pika pika and PoKe'MoN Trainer. Just waiting for two more and I'll be good.

Generation 8 Predictions so far.....(as of 9/2013)

Console that will sell most: Nintendo Wii U

Who will sell more consoles between Microsoft/SONY: SONY

Trees decorated on Christmas? Win!

I was hoping it would take holidays into account.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

I wonder if the Animal Crossing stage will follow Western or Japanese holidays. The game looks pretty Western to me, but it's developed by and mainly sold to the Japanese.

Maybe just the ones that are virtually universal, like the bright red present-fest in December? =P

Animal Crossing Char conforimed by Famitsu!
Katsuya Eguchi, director of the Animal Crossing games, has been interviewed in the latest issue of Famitsu. In it he discusses the upcoming Animal Crossing game on the Wii, although one of the questions ties into Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

FAMITSU: Have you been approached to contribute Animal Forest elements for the new Smash Bros. game?

KATSUYA EGUCHI: Yes, and there is quite a funny story to it. A few months after E3 2006, (Masahiro Sakurai) contacted me and asked if I'd like to develop possible Animal Forest ideas for Smash Bros. Originally, we settled on just a quick, simple Animal Forest item, but with the success of Wild World and the Animal Forest film, he asked if I'd be up for designing additional elements. [Laughs] Fast forward a few months and I had stage and character concepts created. Sakurai chose his favorite of the stage concepts, slightly tweaked it to his liking, and we together decided on the final Animal Forest character, which is a very fun character to play. With both the stage and character I utilized ideas from the games. For example, if you play the stage at night, the sky will be dark. If you play in the winter, expect to see snow, and leaves in the autumn time. And yes, trees will be decorated on Christmas! It's really something else. I worked very hard on this one little stage! [Laughs] The Animal Crossing character is very much like the one in the games. You know, he will use his axe, fishing rod, bug catching net, and everything else from the games.

I can see it now:

Tom Nook beats people with couches and tables.  Then his final smash is wrapping them in wallpaper (or a rug) and having the mailman carry them away.

Okay somethings that need clearing up:

1.) For the last time, JIGGLYPUFF, CAPTAIN FALCON, AND NESS ARE NOT GONE.

They are original Smash characters. Do you really think he's going to remove the characters from the very first smash game who have appeared in 2 games already? No, of course he won't. Every original character has a strong fanbase and NONE of the original 12 are gone.

2.) Tom Nook is not the playable character from the AC stage. Notice that he's already in the stage

Reread that interview. He specifically calls him "The Animal Crossing character." That means... the Animal Crossing character lol. In other words the character you play as in the AC games. Also read this part: "The Animal Crossing character is very much like the one in the games. You know, he will use his axe, fishing rod, bug catching net, and everything else from the games." There is only one character in AC that uses all those items, and that's the player character.

I agree, the AC character is the AC character... ehum that made sense! Anyways with captain Falcon not yet confirmed, I doubt we will see him back... Wish we will see the return of a F-Zero stage though together with Samurai Goroh as the F-Zero character.

But what will they call him?

Animal... Crosser? =P

I edited my first post just for you. He's the main character of a staple Nintendo franchise and he's been in every game... Not to mention "FAAAALCONNN PUNNNCCCCHHHH" is practically a phenomenon started by him, and he's one of the most popular characters.

I can't help but ask what the hell are you people thinking!?!? There are months left of updates and not every character is going to be updated anyway. I really can't even comprehend where you guys get these crackpot theories.

FARUKOOOON PAAAANCHI!!!
