Another charater update already!? I wasn't expecting one for a long time. Three characters in one? Definately was not expected. As for the talk about a possible final smash, probably a lengendary pokemon gets sent out and you can play as it for a short time. Btw, could this means charizard won't pop out of a pokeball? Maybe Charizard will be replaced with a different fire type starter. Any way, Metroid stuff later this week or next week.

They can definitely use items. Venusaur will probably hold them in its mouth or something (like Pichu), but they'll definitely be as able as any other character as far as items are concerned.

Having watched the Pokemon series, the Final Smash will be a culmination of Flamethrower, Water Gun, and Razor Leaf, resulting in a huge blast. UNLESS, they are not going to be doing Clone Final Smashs (Samus, king of). For example, when I saw Pit's Final Smash, I noticed that it was exactly what I thought Fox's Final Smash would be, with his fleet, of course. I am very interested in the character's Final Smashs.
