Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Super Smash Bros. Brawl Official Updates

I hope it will be. I'm already convinced it will be online and you'd think that since all the DS are worldwide that SSBB would be too but I don't know since Mario Strikers isn't (from what I've heard).

Yeah I've got a JP WII, so would be nice to compete with a friend of mine then. I'm not as enthusiastic as you guys but as I see all these screens I'll think I'll get the game as soon as it releases in Japan. I'm normally not into these kind of battle games.

Does the friendcodes work worldwide if anybody know with Mario Strikers?

Ranked matches are regional. I don't know if your Wii would connect you to european or japanese servers, but I'm guessing japanese. Friendly matches are not region specific. Don't know about lag, though.

Brawl isn't confirmed online though, particularly for ranked matches.

Reality has a Nintendo bias.

Update:  Yoshi's Island

The pastel stage of Yoshi’s Island...
Mmm... It feels nice and peaceful here.

The central platform tilts to and fro.

Shy Guys often make guest appearances, and the Support Ghost can appear suddenly, aiding players on occasion.

The whimsical Support Ghost.

The highlight of this stage is its seasonal changes, as it goes from spring to summer to fall and then winter.

Fall comes...

And even in winter, the brawl battles on.

It certainly has its own distinct air.
Change is sometimes good.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

They really are impressing me with the graphics. I was just expecting a slight upgrade with a much bigger roster, but the stuff their teasing us with caught me completely off guard. They didn't even have to improve the graphics for it to sell.

The pastel shows us the art going into this game as well. You can see the mix in art and graphics with the stage and characters. I also noticed how each stage they've showed so far has gradual changes but in different ways.

Battlefield=change in time of day
Delfino Plaza=change in location
Yoshi's Island=change in seasons

Those bastards are making me want the game more and more. Damn you clever marketing strategies.

So you mean if I'll add via the Japanese version, my friend, who will have the European version of say Mario Strikers I can play against him? And also against others from who I collect the friends codes?

SSBB looks stunning!

Nice to have some variety in the level, although looks like Delfino is still the only one with changes that affect gameplay. I was thinking Yoshi's Island might get slippery in the winter, but doesn't look like it. =/

Anybody else notice how some pictures have shadows and some don't? Even with the same character and level. I hope they haven't been photoshopping these.

Just another thing proving that Yoshi will be back.

@WiiGirl76 Exactly

Serious?!!! I didn't know that!! I thought Friendcodes we're also region restricted then as when the regular matches we're. So if the Japanese version of Mario Strikers will be released I can add you all from all over the world in my friend list and play against you? Subarashii!!! Now it's getting more interesting, too bad Mario Party isn't online then :( Hopefully this game will go online then as a friend of mine likes to compete with me. Don't know if SSBB will be a world wide release at the same time or else it gives me some time to practice... I'm far from good with these kind of games :D

Mario and Link look awesome :)
