Forums - Sony Discussion - I am getting a Vita

I have been in a PSP kick lately and decided that I want Vita, I will buy it used, hopefully this Saturday the seller comes to my town, they said their Vita Slim model is in mint condition. Yes, yes, oh, yes.

I'm also interested in getting a Vita! Just been wanting to add to the collection, and this is a hefty hole in it.

Would be getting Persona 4 Golden, Tearaway, Gravity Rush, Child of Light (just to have something to play on the Vita), and some Indies that I wouldn't get on the Switch otherwise.

If I could find a cheap Vita TV with the necessary accessories, I'd get one too, even if it was just for the homebrew oportunities.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Danganronpa, Soul Sacrifice Delta, the Nonary Games, Killzone Mercenary, many many others - go for it. I might edit this post with more recommendations later.

I see it as an upgrade to my PSP - it can play all PSP games plus Vita games plus Youtube plus remote play plus whatnot.

A couple of great hidden gems on the system are
Macross Delta Scramble
Soldner X-2 Prototype
Muramasa

Just for the hell of it. Ys series is great

Bite my shiny metal cockpit!

It's a great console. It's probably the best portable console ever from a design perspective. I love my Switch, but even the light model is just too big and at times, uncomfortable. I can carry my Vita in a pocket big enough... but there is not a pocket big enough for the Switch + its case.

It also has many great games. Danganronpa series, Persona 4 Golden, YS VIII, Odin Sphere, Gravity Rush, Dragon's Crown, Muramasa, World of Final Fantasy, Trails of Cold Steel, The Nonary Games, Steins Gate, Killzone Mercenary, Soul Sacrifice, Freedom Wars, the HD Collections of many PS2 classics... and more.
Plus, the PSOne, PSP and all the great indie games on the store.

That is nothing, I started getting into PS2 in 2011, a necrophile of sort

If I wasn't a cheap bastard, happy with my tablet and a few free or f2p games for my mobile gaming, PSV would probably be my choice, as for my tastes it's the most comfortable portable I ever tried, while I found 3DS and PSP quite uncomfortable. Never tried NS, I think its concept is great, but currently it's priced well beyond what I would ever spend for a portable, while for home gaming I'm still a PC guy.

My former favorite system. It's unlikely you will peer into the eyes of consumer hell like I have with it. Thousands of dollars and hours spent, all into oblivion.... Have a fun!
