Here are some of the screens from said game (apparently):

I honestly hope that it's a new Outbreak game or REmake of one, because I've been waiting for Capcom to return to those sideline games for well over a decade now.

Whatever it is, it damn sure ain't L4D3 since Valve doesn't make games, anymore.

It's gotta be Outbreak 3.

I'm puzzled as to why anyone thinks it would be Evolve, let alone L4D, especially since when you consider that Outbreak came out before L4D 1, and even then, both games were co-op survival based.

Valve still make games though, just not the ones some folk on here want. I want a new L4D, but I'm more than happy to see if this new RE game turns out to being a new Outbreak installment, which would fill the gap for my L4D fix quite nicely.

I just hope it is a new Outbreak game, and not another Evolve or UCorps style game.

Outbreak 1-2 didn't do so well in the US, due to the not so well adapted internet addon for the PS2, I know, because no one in my group of friends had it, and I did, but couldn't for the life of me get it to work for Outbreak file 2. This is the perfect time for them to make a new Outbreak game, since it's been well and truly over a decade since the last one, as well as the current gaming world being able to support co-op style online games.

I really want to be able to openly explore Raccoon city again, only without that annoying infection timer.

Outbreak 3. And I don't mind the diversion from another mainline, remake or Revelations title. The series has benefited from experimentation and there's clearly different types of RE fans.

Well, happy birthday to me!

The thing is, why make Outbreak 3 when they could have redone Outbreak 1 and 2 first?

I am sure it will be similar. 4 players try to escape zombie infested level, while another player tries to kill them. What the 5th player would be (like Nemesis or Hunk) is what I thik will be the interesting thing.

still, we will know soon enough

They could just roll with how REmake 2, including all the puzzles, just with a new map of Raccoon city, while tossing in the OG Outbreak infection gauge, where you have a forced specific time limit to finish each scenario, via co-operating with co-op players, before you become a zombie, in which yes, like old OB, you would hunt down other players, and that would make complete sense, since the OG games were like that.

Outbreak is an interesting experiment, because you're dumped with 3-4 other players, tasked with conserving ammo, carrying important items around and sharing all of them, as well as helping one another to solve puzzles and avoid dying, or you become a zombie, where you then work against all you've done, in order to offer an added challenge to those players left alive. It's a better dynamic than what Evolve tried.

Man I hope the rumours about it beeing a multiplayer game is false. Though an Outbreak style might be fun.

Yeah.... I dont know.If it was a mode that was available alongside RE 8, I would be thrilled. But as a multiplayer stand alone?

Not quite feeling it to be honest.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

If it truly is a 4v1 and not a new Outbreak game, then it would appear that Capcom had taken two steps forward with REmake 1 remaster and REmake 2, to one step back with this game, if it turns out to becoming another PVP/Evolve style game.

The thing is, RE wasn't exactly designed purely in mind for PVP experiences. Outbreak had so very minimal PVP, in that it was only restrained to when you, the player died and came back as undead, but even then you could still die and not be able to bother the player again, which made the PVP factor very minimal in nature. We don't really need yet another PVP focused game (anyone saying this is co-op vs PVP doesn't seem to understand what Evolve had set up, because if someone has to become a boss and go vs 4 other people, then it is in fact PVP focused).

If it is 1v4, then it'd be like if Valve allowed players to become the AI director in L4D, only that player would still have a body for the other players to actually defeat, which still sounds lame, because it's like trying to turn a horror co-op experiences, into some forced "what if we made this game exactly like a D&D experience?".

I want Outbreak Capcom, not another evolve, not another PVP focused game, as your last one was utter crap, and we've got tons of PVP experiences to go around, that do it better than you do. Focus on your strengths, not your "pot of gold" that you think you're missing out on.

Capcom have been doing horrible in the RE multiplayer-only game department.

Looks to be a 4v1 game but I wish it was a new Outbreak instead.

Oh yes, another online multiplayer RE game...

Because it worked so well for Umbrella Corps.
