Not a chance unless they were using a guide, I've 8 hours on the ticker and 27% map completion and still running into dead ends. I'd assume you'd have to get extremely lucky to do this at 15 hours or less. I just started with a look at a completed map and it's not much of a help cause I'm still running into dead ends plus at some point farming is inevitable if you want good gear and stats/shards.

Whqt I mean is resetting the game from the ps4 menu or reloading the save but fuck that glitch, fingers crossed it foesn't happen but Yes, I've counted 5 hard crashes now on PS4 and 7 or 8 other glitches which have made me reset the game but pretty few other glitches bar those apart for some serious performance issues when the camera zooms out or rotates in certain sections, some glitches have been less game breaking than others like I could have continued not being able to pick items up but I rathered the reset.

Probably lost a good hour if not more of time now that I think about it plus some really good shard drops that i have since regained. RNG seems to be pretty tight just after saves.

Yeah, and keep in mind that map progression tends to happen more frequently in the early stages of the game, because then you're almost always headed into new and unexplored territory. Once you start backtracking more, map progression starts slowing down.
I haven't found myself wandering around lost too much, but enough that it became satisfying when I figured out where to go/what to do next.
I don't know if 12h is enough to even reach the bad end on a first playthrough. But yeah, expect over 20 hours for most people, I'd say.
Will be interesting to see what everyone's endtime will be when they beat the final boss.

So, I got the bad ending at just under 10 hours, keeping in mind I probably have an hour or two of AFK time as well. I don't feel as if I've been rushing either.  Of course, the game really opened up just before the bad ending, so I know there's some stuff that I haven't yet explored and at least 1 boss available that I didn't kill yet.  I just came upon the bad ending without any warning really.

So the early chatter is that the Switch version of Bloodstained is NOT good. Choppy gameplay, long load times and input delays being reported so far. That to go with the graphic and frame-rate reductions we already knew about. Bummer as I really wanted this on Switch.

Makes you wonder how a WiiU or Vita version would have performed.  I'm guessing not too well.

Decided to not buy the game until they improve the Switch-version. I don't mind the graphical downgrades, but choppy framerate and input-lag is not good

I wish I could be part of that chatter, but unfortunately they decided that, at 12:36 PM of the release date, the game is still unavailable.

Either way, it does seem like I'll have to do the piratebay thing. Oh well.

I had the same problem with Cuphead but I was able to do something to get it to activate, but don't know exactly what it was.  I know I went into the eShop and selected the game there to see if there was some kind of "activate" button even though I had already pre-bought it, and I think I also rebooted the Switch.  In any case, the game became active at some point during the process and I was able to start playing.

Or it all might have been a coincidence, lol.

I heard some comments saying that many indie games only release at 9 AM pacific, so I'll check it out again in 10 minutes, but alternatively I have thought of rebooting the console. Either way, yeah, I'm most likely playing it on PC in the end. I don't regret buying it on Switch because the game deserves my money and I wouldn't have bought it anywhere else, and I'm also hoping they improve the performance with updates, but... yeah.

Edit: hmm, random comments were right, it did activate now. Well, I can't play right now any way, but it's good to have that concern out of the way at least.

Ah, I see. I don't quite remember when I reached that point, but I went and killed some other bosses first.
I hope people don't think the game ends there.

It gives you a clear game over screen. I think people should be fine.

Switch performance issues update:

Good for them. Backers (or rather, a relatively small vocal minority, with many repeat offenders) have been complaining left and right on the kickstarter comments section. It's a great game and I'm glad they're dedicated to fixing the Switch version. I'm VERY happy with my PC version though.

God damn, if the switch is worse than the PS4 version then drop it. If I had performqnce issues on top of glitch anxiety after so many already I'd have given up by now.
I got to the train after 2 hours of wandering trying to figure out where to go after the double headed thing but now I'm stuck on this boss with Zengetzu. Time to farm like fuck and just have a battle of attrition.
