Wait, so a business cannot wait to see if another game sells first? Seems logical to me, if people were not interested in a prior product of mine, why would I sell them another?

They have already released a handful of old ports on Switch and they have said they are happy with sales.

Pretty much everything they have released on Switch has sold well or beyond their expectations so for them to wait and see how their 12th late port does before they release a current gen game is just nonsensical.

If they were gauging how another DMC game is selling first, that would have been more understandable. But even then we would be talking about an old game that many people may have already played.

But this is a game completely unrelated to DMC. I have no interest in Dragon's Dogma, but I am very interested in DMCV.

Does not matter the game, all Switch games sell well at my store.

Even games like Paw Patrol & How to Train Your Dragon?

Paw PAtrol has sold out multiple times since November. But that may just be the Holiday crowd. If we still have it that should end soon I would imagine. Not sure about Dragon, but if it is as great as the Wii U Dragon 2 game then it very well could.

Paw Patrol is a merchandise phenomenon.  I'm sure there are parents buying it.

Wow that is pretty crazy, I actually almost got it for my 3 & 5 year olds, they love that show.

For sure, like I said in my reply to him I was almost one of those parents lol but I was just curious if he meant "hardcore" games or was also including kid/casual/family titles as well.

That is it exactly. During the holidays there is a panic to find kiddy games. Even for the Switch parents and relatives seemed to struggle. They did not want the full price of Mario or it was sold out, so they got whatever they could find. This goes for the PS4 version as well. Except obviously with PS4 and X1 it is even harder, especially if it is not Gamestop with a ton of variety. Walmart cannot have the variety so there were few options such as Crash, Spyro I think..., Paw Patrol, etc.

So Paw Patrol did well, not sure how well as I have not searched sales for it, but the copies we had sold out multiple times.

What a dumb comment.

Does Itsuno even make business decisions at Capcom? Lmao. I assume he just develops the games.

I hate when companies put games hostage. So if another game that has nothing to do with the DMC series doesnt sell well than they wont release DMC?

How stupid. Just dont say anything at all Capcon. Id rather silence than some idiotic buisness strategy that only benefits your needs.

Make Dragons Dogma a success than you have DMC. No thanks.
