I thought the whole “ Nintendo fans only buy first party games” would have died out by now

Why would you think that? When you have Nintendo published games getting ~70% of total Nintendo Switch retail software sales it's not going to die. That said this thread is amusing. Nintendo is absolutely killing it sales-wise with the Switch so I don't see them changing their gameplan at all of 1 or 2 tent-pole games a year since that seems to be enough.

Well, Nintendo makes close to 70% of the quality output of the Switch's library so it's only fair.

To be fair, no 10 million seller third party titles are being put on the switch

Nintendo usually announces their Directs a few days in advance. So this rumor is false.

The sentence below is false.
The sentence above is true.

I'm pretty sure FIFA is on the Switch?

Directs has been announced 1 day in advance multiple times, like the March 8th direct last year

Ah yes, the one game I forget, that also is mainly a European/ RoTW driver, which just so happens to be switch weakest/ Sony strongest market. I think you get my point.

1. Nintendo usually announces directs one day before hand, not a few days.

2. The OP has the title incorrect. The leaker just said “the 13th is your lucky number”, it does not specify if the 13th will be the day of the direct or announcement of one.

if it’s the day of the direct then we will get an announcement tomorrow morning, if it’s the day of the announcement, we will get the direct Thursday.

if nothing happens Wednesday, that’s when we will know if this rumor is false.

Its usually a day earlier, not a few days.

Plus, the leak was "13 is your lucky number", so that could also mean that the announcement of the direct will be done at the 13th, not the direct itself.

OMG OMG OMG OMG IT"S FUCKING HAPPINING!!!!!

Not really surprised. Mid february before Valentines seems to be a consistent annual time window for a direct.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016
