Forums - Gaming Discussion - DF : Anthem Tested on all consoles

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GXD2rUzI0lA

XBO : 900p native / 20~25fps (30fps in small area's)
PS4 : 1080p native / 30fps most of the time
Pro : 1080p native / 35~45fps or 1800p native / 25~30fps
X : 2160p native / 25~30fps

In terms of performance (fps):
1) PS4pro (1080)
2) PS4 (1080)
3) PS4pro (1800p)
4) Xbox One X (2160)
5) Xbox One (900p)

Apart from resolution there doesnt appear to be any differnces between versions.
Checkerboarding artifacts appear to be caused by a effect, the game is running native resolutions on all versions.

Thoughts?
Are you guys eager to play Anthem?

Is the FPS expected to improve with the full release?

Cherrypicking much.. a lower res has a higher fps

Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

That's not bad. Will buy it sometimes after launch.

if there is no option for a lower rendering res, then only the lower fps is available though

@ topic)

these results are based on a demo build that could be several months old and the release build might perform very differently, so don't take this as gospel and wait for the comparison of the release build if you are concerned about performance

Doesnt mean this performance ranking is severly flawed

This game is releaseing in like 2 weeks right?
Yes its only a "demo" but its all people have their hands on, and it may or may not, be old, but its all people have on hand to test the game out with.

Yes the "performance ranking" does seem poor towards the xbox side, like the devs of this game havnt put as much effort into optimisations for the xbox side as the Playstation side.

We dont know if things will improve in 2 weeks time.
Often times demos come out before a release, and their pretty much just like the game when it releases.

Also the "performance" ranking isnt subjective, this is what DF are saying, after testing the game.
Right now the game doesnt run too well on xbox one x (high resolution but low frame rates), which is surpriseing since its the fastest system in terms of hardware.

Yes, 4K is great with mediocre performance, X grunt is so pointless with that CPU.
Game looks rubbish regardless.

Let's hope EA optimises the XBOX version a little bit further.

Performance = fps and nothing else. If there was a 480p version that runs at 120fps then that would be the best performance. Not sure how you're conflating resolution with performance.
