Forums - Politics Discussion - US Midterm Elections 2018- Dems take the House, GOP Keeps the Senate.

Who did you vote for?

Democrat Rep and Democrat Senator 38 58.46%

GOP Rep and Democrat Senator 0 0%

Democrat Rep and GOP Senator 4 6.15%

Florida races are tightening up. Dems have dropped 2% in both races, but I think they'll end up winning once the major population centers fully come in.

I'm watching CNN and I love it when they constantly make GUT (Grand Unified Therories) with 499 people counted so far..

For Florida Desantis and Scott just took the lead.

You sure about that? The link that was posted earlier shows otherwise

It switched back to the dems.

Overall its pretty close so far.

I'm not an American, but democrats look good. Looks like Florida could go Republican, but otherwise it is looking bad for the GOP

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

The panhandle is just closing. Ohio going so early in the senate is a little surprising.

Democrats just picked up 6 new senate seats but these seats were safe dem anyway.
Senate right now is 42 Republicans and 31 democrats.

The general consensus was that republicans will gain 1 or even 2 seats in the Seante and it looks like this will be the case.

DeSantis just took the lead in the Florida Gubernatorial race. That state just loves having crazy elections every year.

Florida being Florida.

Okay, is anyone watching FiveThirtyEight's projections? I'm honestly baffled. Republicans keeping the house started out as a 1 in 7 chance, forty minutes ago it was 1 in 15, but now it's 3 in 5. If your model is going to be so volatile, what's even the point?
