Conquest Entertainment distribute Nintendo and most (if not all) third party games in the Czech Republic. Sony distribute their own games so those aren't included in Conquest's chart. I'm unsure about Microsoft. Neither have had any major releases recently, so it shouldn't affect this chart very much. I think this is for the month of June.

In Russia sold half a million PSP

According to latest estimates the company Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE), the number sold in Russia portable game consoles PlayStation Portable (PSP) amounted to 500 000 units.

Does anyone speak Slovak? A translation would be appreciated, Google Translate doesn't have Slovak, and using Czech doesn't work too great.

PlayStation 3 od japonskej spoločnosti Sony si naďalej udržuje dominantné postavenie na slovenskom a českom trhu pred svojimi rivalmi, japonským Nintendom s hernou konzolou Wii a Xboxom 360 od spoločnosti Microsoft. A to aj napriek tomu, že podľa najnovších údajov prvý raz v histórii dokázal Xbox 360 objemom predaja poraziť na kľúčovom japonskom trhu domáceho rivala Sony.

"Zatiaľ stále nedokážeme uspokojiť dopyt, no od augusta by už konzol malo byť dostatok,“ tvrdí pre HN Klepetko.

They're saying that PS3 stills hold dominant position on the market ahead of Nintendo Wii and X360. However PS3 domination isn'a as big as PS2 which had 90% of market share. In spite of this X360 is breaking Sony's domination.

X360 sold 3000 units in financial year ending on June.

Thanks Kamil, I wasn't sure if 360 was last financial year's sales, or this year's forecast. Was the 3,000 just for Slovakia, or does it include Czech Republic too? Also, what does it say after about total sales in Slovakia? Many words don't get translated.

He says "slovenskom trhu" which means Slovak market so withouth Czech.

3,000 seems to be half of total X360 sales ("polowicu" means half).

To be honest I'm not 100% sure if it's not prediciton for this year. I can't really speak Slovak, lots of words are similar to Polish so its readable for me but I'm not confident about everything. Online dictionares also don't help much.

Thanks again, that means 360 has sold around 6,000 LTD in Slovakia.

I'm interested in Czech market as it's GDP per capita is the closest (excluding Slovenia, which only has 2m population) to Western European countries. The video game market should develop quicker there, and could give us an idea of how the rest of Eastern Europe could develop in the future.
