They still have to launch the third game on the west before. I hope they announce something soon.

They‘ll probably release this as Yokai Watch 3 in the west.

Nah,I don't think they will skip the third one. Busters just got announced for the west and Nintendo is still trying to push the 3DS.

I am really hoping that Game Freak takes a cue from this for Pokemon 2019, especially since (after the ComG first day preorders) I am not expecting Pokemon Let’s Go to sell as well as the core games (in fact now I think it will do rather poorly) nor am I expecting it to review well.

You're jumping the gun on Let's Go.  I don't think it will do as well as the generational new games (X/Y, Sun/Moon) but I do think it will fall in line with the non-generational entries (third versions, sequels).  So 5 to 10 million.  Probably what they're expecting honestly.

They've already said the visuals and design of the next gen will continue the stylistic and design paths the last generation left off on.  I don't think it will look exactly like this though.  They'll lean more into the vibrant colors of Pokemon's setting.  I expect something comparable to that 2011 Yokai footage.  Though featuring more modern features in rendering, which we are already seeing a bit of in Let's Go despite its throwback look.

I wish they would show the gameplay. It’s looking more and more likely that it’ll retain the battle system from 1 and 2, but I was hoping it would take elements from Ni No Kuni.

It’ll also be interesting to see if it has a Blasters mode.

Thats a prediction after 1 day from COMG......... wait until 1month!

Pocky Lover Boy!

Nice! This looks great actually. Reminds me of the Ghibli film, Whisper of the Heart in terms of art style.

I just hope they've done something to change up the battle system. If Level 5 can revive the hype for this series in Japan, Nintendo might have another major hit on their hands this winter.

This looks better than Let's Go. I hope the new mainline Pokemon game coming next year can look as good as this game, and most importantly, that it go away with that ridiculous chibi art style of Let's Go.

Translation: I will always hate Fox for canceling The Exorcist.

Well I think it was clear that they're trying to make Lets Go appeal to the Pokemon Go audience, gameplay, art style, etc. I'm pretty sure Pokemon 2019 will look as good if not better than this game, but then again...it's Level 5. They're visual masters no matter what platform they're on. I don't think the Chibi style bothers me as much, it's more of the flat shading on the characters.

The Yo Kai Watch series has always had interesting designs, but the fact that there are 3 games on the 3DS with different versions has always been off putting. I'm excited for this one though.
