Yea, if Sony keeps the $199 thing going longer this year, and maybe a permanent cut to $249, I'm pretty sure Sony takes the year. There's also Spider-Man, which should help boost sales, too.

Saturation can hit PS4, why did someone not get a PS4 yet? And great black friday deals (compared to the weak ones last year) can push switch to win it but honestly all guess work.

But that's a point, you have only toward negatives, low expectations only about Nintendo HW and SW sales, you dont do same thing for PS4 or XB1. For instance you even said that Switch sales will fail of a cliff after holiday season, and that's was clear wishful thinking not prediction.

Its certainly very possible. I suspect it will. Ps4 has only a slim advantage on a week by week basis and the Switch can definitely beat it.

 

The bigger question is what it will do worldwide and whether it will beat ps4 there. I suspect not.

PS4 is still selling so well, I don't expect a permanent price drop until next year, but they may do a Black Friday deal in the US like they did last year.

My guess is they are underestimating it, again.  I'm sure the PS4 will do better than their projections.

There are always people who wait til a system is under $200 before they jump in.  The PS4 isn't just going to stop selling, it going to reach 100M+.

Because ps4, and xbox aren't comparable to switch, they are home consoles with strong third party. Nintendo home consoles are usually are failures, and the handheld market sales was in a major decline lastgen, so i just believe nintendo by itself in today market won't have sustainable  sales to be anywhere near ps4.
