Forums - Gaming Discussion - NOMURA is putting equal effort in both Games (FFVIIR and KH3)

The terms "multi game series" and "episodic" should not be used interchangeably.
Far too many people associate "episodic" with the way Telltale's games are split up. So referring to FF7 in that way is what prompted countless posts on the matter thinking that the first game would be only a few hours long.

That is my point exactly, it was referred to as a multipart series of which each game will be on the scale of FFXIII so like a full game in itself.  I take episodic to mean small parts released in a relatively short timeframe which amount to one game.

Fifty percent effort between the two instead of one hundred percent effort into just once game... KH 3. That's a shame imo.

You know, I have to admit, as an outsider looking in ... I don't know. There's kind of a ... beautiful mystique ... behind Square Enix's madness. Like, I'm not even into their games, but just knowing they are pouring so much talent and money into these large huge projects that take years and multiple delays is kind of oddly intriguing. You know when these launch they'll be some of the most hyped games. Perhaps even some of the most polished from a gameplay and graphics perspective.

I'm taking it you didn't get to enjoy games back in the 90's and early 00's then? Because I remember getting FF games over and over again, really quickly and to top it off, they were legendarily great (FF1-10). I'd rather have that than... whatever they're doing now.

I mean, I haven't played Final Fantasy. But it's not like game production just came to a complete halt in the mid 2000's for the entire industry. A lot of franchises produced consistently good games. I've definitely experienced it, it's just interesting to see these long development times even if it's like watching the world burn.

You guys need to understand, if they show more FFVIIR screenshots and footage it'll steal ALL the spotlight from their upcoming titles.

Nomura putting equal effort in both means he isn't able to concentrate on one. This comes off as a bad thing to me.
