You eliminate the Xbox which launched Halo, Forza - the industry leaders in their genres to this day, the groundwork for the best controller in the industry, the console that perfected online gaming we know of today, and eliminated silly memory cards? Yet you keep consoles you've never touched and know little about, and consoles that killed the company's hardware future? Huh?

Flawed thread is flawed. The Xbox deserves to be in the top 5 - at least. Today's consoles would be much different beasts had the Xbox not have existed. That makes it 'important' to say the least.

I think its a matter of which games the system's had, thats decideing how people vote.

The OG xbox didnt have 1 Final Fantasy game right?
PS2 could played all the PS1 games, and it has FF10 & 10-2, FF11, FF12 ect. ontop of a large amount of other meaningfull franchises that just didnt come to the Xbox.

You think most of the voters have ever played a Magnavox, Intellivision, Turbo Graphix, 32X, Neo Geo CD, or Colecovision?

i highly doubt it.  I doubt they could even rattle off a game or two without googling them.
