I would choose a XBox 360 Elite before a Nintendo Wii for a second console to go with my PS3. Wii is good but the games do not have the HD graphics that is the most important thing to me.

More important than gameplay? So, would you play an HD game with terrible gameplay BEFORE you would play a masterpiece like SMG or Metroid?

Just curious.

he never said that....

First, I was asking Rock_on_2008. Second, he CLEARLY said that HD Graphics are the MOST IMPORTANT THING to him when it comes to games. I was simply asking what exactly he meant by that. One would assume that if Graphics are truly the MOST IMPORTANT thing, that would trump gameplay. I was simply asking for him to clarify whether or not this is actually what he meant.

HD graphics are first then gameplay. Anyway the genres I only like are shooters, racers and RPG's. I do not like platform games.

Fair enough. You have every right to your preference. I personally think you're missing out on 50% of the great games out there, but that's just my opinion. I like Gameplay first, then graphics when comparing the two. I enjoy Shooters, racers, platformers, adventure, fighting, and even casual when I'm in the moood or have friends over. If I could justify spending the money, I'd love to purchase an HD console to hook up to my projector. I enjoy graphics too, but to me they're a secondary component, though still important in many games.

Probably becaue it's American, and the US isn't particularly popular nowadays.

Really?  Doesn't seem to carry over to American software publishers.  Big corporations are so global/international. nowadays.

Can't we all just get along and play our games in peace?

There are a few reasons people hate the 360 on gaming forums:

1. It has been surprisingly successful for something that was picked to fail from the start.

2. Sony fans hate it because it brought them back down to earth. Now because of the 360 most PS3 fans see 2nd place this gen as a victory.

3. Nintendo fans that seem almost upset that the 360 would dare try to get 1st place back for this gen.

4. PC fans who feel it isn't right that console fans get to play the same games as them. Therefore they downplay the games by saying their inferior because of no KB/M support or the grafiks sux compared to teh wata kewled SLI quad core setup I have running Crysis on max settings at 1440p. :p

5. The people that had 3 PS1's, 4 PS2's but yet complain about the TRL (Three Red Lights) or RRoD (Red Ring of Death, although it's not a full ring).

6. The people that hate how rich Bill Gates is and don't realize he doesn't run Microsoft anymore or that he donates a lot of his money to charity.

7. People that want to feel better about their purchase and/or couldn't afford a 360.

8. The people that do it just because everyone else does.

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.

 Eight good reasons all valid.

Goddbless: I don't think many PC gamers are upset that a genre that is better on PC is going to consoles. And yes, keyboard/mouse is better for many game types just like controllers are better for others.

PS1 and PS2 had overheating and disc read errors but those things had solutions other than mailing it back and waiting a month.

Bill Gates donates to charity because of tax writeoffs. Not many people hate Bill Gates, though, they just hate Microsoft.

Who are you to judge his motives?? So many people 'hate' the rich (I'm not saying you do, but people tend to assume the worst about the rich) and decry their motives as always selfish, but many rich people do great things with their money. How do you know that Bill Gates doesn't just like donating to charity because he wants to help?? I'm not saying I know his motives are good, just that you absolutely do not know they are selfish.

I've known a few multi-millionaires, and they have been the most genuine, nice, generous people I've ever dealt with. That's not to say they're all that way, but many are.

On the other hand, I've known many 'poor' people who were simply lazy, mean, selfish, and always looking for a handout like other people owed them something. Again, that's not to say all, or even most are like that, just that the stereotypes of rich vs poor are more born out of jealosy than anything else.

Edit: I'm referring to rich vs poor in the western world. Obviously, the rich vs poor in places like Africa and other 3rd world countries is a different story. Also, I do think we should help those less 'fortunate' (if they are willing to actually be helped) than ourselves. My point is that the prejudice against the 'evil rich' is just a silly as any other prejudice.
