Nope. It's painful but just except it.

We are not getting a Wii style VC. This is due to the fact that most developers would rather update their old games and then sell them to us a higher price through said update. I dont mind, especially when M2 is behind the ports because they so much love and care into them. SE started it, then SNK, CAPCOM, and now SEGA all doing it.

There will NEVER be a Final Fantasy Collection. SE will remake those games over and over again and sell them full price.

Just remake all of those Square Enix games in the Octopath Traveler engine. That's all you need to do for me not to care about their games releasing in VC.

Why? What would be the benefits of that vs all the extra production costs?

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

I bolded the text you should pay attention to. These are my desires.

We already know that the Octopath Traveler engine is effectively just taking a 16-/32-bit game and plastering it onto a 3D world complete with visual effects that are par for the course nowadays. To me, it would be very sweet to see the Mode 7 games in particular recreated in the engine so we can feel what we're supposed to feel with the pseudo-3D effect back then.

I WON A BET AGAINST AZUREN! WOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Meh... all of it, virtual console included is pointless for me due to in-put lag. Even the SNES Classic lags compared to the original games on a CRT. So, I really don't care either way.

Doesnt really effect the turn based games.

I think if a person can beat all the Megamans, Castelvania, and Zelda II on virtual console without any issues....I'm thinkin' this input lag charge is some purist malarky.

If Nintendo isn't offering VC, just go grab an emulator. I'm sure they exist for old platforms now.

If Nintendo doesn't want your money, don't give them your money.

No it is a legitimate issue but it only effects a tiny niche of games where if you have no muscle memory of the original that it would negatively harm the game itself.

Fair enough I guess!
