Switch selling on par with PS4 is all it needs, everything else is gravy even that 20 million target. There's no way you can say with a straight face the Switch has disappointing sales and on the other hand say the PS4 is a good seller.

It's incredible how powerful Nintendo's first party IP is too ... they are basically carrying the platform on their shoulders mainly, Sony needs to be carried by dozens of different 3rd party devs, Nintendo is achieving this sales pace basically just on their own plus Octopath. Look at how many major releases from 3rd parties PS4 needed to have the same sales rate that Nintendo.

August added, a very close month where NSW slightly increases its lead. Next month should be a decent win for PS4.

Yeah, 355k is pretty unlikely for the Switch this month.

However October could very much go to the Switch with some lead again with Super Mario Party, Starlink and TWEWY

November will be very interesting, especially with the new bundles (2 Pokémon Let's Go and one for Smash) boosting the sales before BF already. If Nintendo has some decent deals then then it can go either way.

On Resetera, Aquamarine has been giving some clues so it seems like Switch was closer to 205k this month which puts it and PS4 even through August.

I dont think switch can win September but i do believe it will take the last 3 months.

Nothing interesting in September besides a Walmart exclusive bundle, and 1 extra week. I give it 270k max.

So with September added in, PS4 has a 95k lead. I think Switch is pretty well setup to take October thought. Question is by how much.
