Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is great, yeah, but you may be overwhelmed if you get this and Zelda at the same time. I would recommend something like Stardew Valley or Sonic Mania.

I know i should definitely get the pro controller but it's stupid expensive right now and i just don't have the money anymore. :/

Can you or anybody tell me what's the battery life on this thing ?

Oh boy Xenoblade Chronicles 2.. i was thinking on making another thread just for this. I played the very first one and i got pretty far but never finished it.. i  really loved the game especially the soundtrack. But this new one seems like it's not nearly as good as the first one judging by the reviews and some things i read from other players. Apparently it has very frustrating  mechanics which is a big turn off for me. :/ 

I can only say by myself of course,but for me Xeno 2 improved a lot of aspects on the original. I really,really think you should give this one a shot.

I second this.  I have not played the first one myself, but I will say Xenoblade 2 is an amazing experience.  It has a slow start, but man when it gets going you will not be able to stop.

 

Make this your next big game AFTER you finish Zelda  you will not regret it.

Welcome to the "Light" side! Lol. I would give you game recommendations but don't know what sorts of games you are into. Excellent choice with Zelda though. Imo it's an absolutely amazing game and more than deserving of all the hype. Mario Odyssey was a whole lot of fun if that's your thing. Played almost exclusively with a big grin on ones' face!

Nice purchase, if you want to start adding us I can give you my FC! I would recommend getting a Pro Controller, and maybe a charge grip for the Joy-Con too as it'd make charging it easier and last longer (that is if you're planning on exclusively using docked mode).

Just estimating, but for me the Switch seems to last maybe 3 to 4 hours, and it depends on what you're using it for. The battery on the Joy-Cons is probably in the 15 - 25 hour range, but it's hard to say for sure. And the Pro Controller battery is probably 30 - 40 hours.

The screen on the Switch is 720p, and Zelda will match that resolution most of the time at 30 FPS.

If you play docked, Zelda will cap at 900p (which is 1600x900 for a 16:9, or 1440x900 for 16:10). Again, at 30 FPS. I played before the framerate patch and it ran pretty smooth for me, but I hear it's even better now.

The portability is a huge plus for me. Not for everyone but being able to take it on the go is huge

Apparently there is some issues with 3rd party docks atm so I wouldn't recommend buying those for now
