None of those were officially sanctioned by Sony while Xbox was Microsoft driven deals...

Your point?

Not all so popular and not a lot of people will have known about it. Eg, i knew about MS deals... first time I am hearing about those PS4 deals.

And regardless, all those arent really great deals..... in all cases the consolw is still retailing for more than its MSRP. A good deal is coming in at less than MSRP and with a free game in tow.

I am kind of surprised that PS4 and XB1 are doing so well.  I have to wonder if any of this is due to MHW.  It is kind of amazing that any Monster Hunter game can actually move hardware now outside of Japan, but that seems to be what is happening.

I also think Amazon disproportionately favors Switch consumers.  My guess is that GameStop disproportionately favors PS4/XB1 consumers, and so a lot of Switch consumers are just going to Amazon instead.  I wish I had data to confirm or deny that though.  I've never seen GameStop break down their sales report by console brand.

I actually mentioned in the Amazon thread switch was getting dominated at best buy, and gamestop best sellers lists for Feb. as for MHW moving hardware, IDK, ps4 is doing the same numbers it does every year. xbox is doing much better then last year though.

except this time there were no 199$ ps4 deals or any deals at all, ps4 will easily take march and april.

I can understand why it will take April..... but why march?

because Feb/march are tax season months, ps4 always does great those months, while switch had a weak feb compared to your average ps4 February, also xbox had great deals which probably resulted in a good amount of lost ps4 sales, there is no way it doesn't win march.

You can dig up retailer deals for anything. Here's some Switch deals from february:

Retailer deals are very common and aren't equivalent in impact to an actual deal pushed by the item manufacturer.

No reason to be a console warrior about it, Switch is doing very good and similar to PS4/XBO in a similar time frame.

I don't think hes being a console warrior about anything. What he pointwd out is kinda important.

Would PS4/XB1 sales be more if they were sellong for $299? Would NS sales be less if it was retailing for $399? is that one week extra sales irrelevant?

I jumped to conclusions thinking he was trying to make it seem like Switch isnt doing well compared to PS4 (this is Lawlight were talking about).

This is fairly sad to read through if I'm honest, no one should be that obsessed with a piece of hardware failing to sell, unless you've got shares in every rival company you should really reconsider time spent on your hobby.

Pretty cool to see all 3 machines selling healthy numbers in the states though, nothing like competition to make sure that us gamers get the Best

Exactly this. Competition is very important. Could you imagine someone wanting less competition? Less entertainment?

Back in the PS2 days there really wasnt much competition.....
PS2 won that gen hard, and it was still a fantastic time to own a Playstation.
Importance of competition is overblown imo.

Switch does look fun though (games catalog comeing along), and will probably be picking one up at some point.

Can we give Monster Hunter World some much needed love as well, tops for the month means a good showing on both the PS4/X1. Well deserved. Capcom investment is paying dividends.

This is what I find impressive.

Xbox One had so many deals, 229$/249$ + PUBG ect.
PS4 nothing, just normal price.

And it still pulls off a win.
Its a "WTF" moment, I agree.
Xbox basically has to be ~70$ cheaper (than ps4) and give out a game, to compete.

Its time for a Super Slim PS4, and a Slim PS4 Pro, and some price cuts.... Nothing stops this train!

Not sure about this:

I hope you're joking with this. None of those are from Sony or sold by Amazon. They're from 3rd party sellers and above MSRP. The white PS4 Pro at GS is not a sale. The Uncharted bundle is the older model and also above MSRP. I don't think that even counts towards NPD since it's not officially sold by ebay.

PS4 had no deals in February.

That resulted in the PS3. Which we all know the story of by now.

NSW 2018 vs PS4/XBO 2015 (2nd full year)

NSW, ~550k
PS4, ~530k
XBO, ~425k

With 2015 having 8 weeks and 2018 having 9 weeks. And, of course, the PS4 being $400 vs the Switch’s $300.

And with Switch getting the 2 biggest titles it might ever seen, in its first year as well.
Its not often Nintendo consoles launch with a full new Zelda & Mario game, within the first year.

Not really a fair compairsion, or way to judge/meassure how the switch will do, based on how the PS4 did early.

Wait so if i get a ps4 with a 50 euro discount not autorised by sony but from an authorised seller it doesnt count as a deal?
