did you miss the part where i said if nintendo sold through there entire shipment which is what vgchartz suggests, nintendo would have announced  14 million  sold.

Again, you are refusing to see stuff put right in front of you. The data included ONLY Europe, NA and Japan. ROTW could quite easily account for another 1-1.5m+.

ROTW could 700k to 1.5 million who really knows, but like i said before if vgchrtz numbers are correct,  nintendo would have sold basically all there shipments by feb 1, nintendo would know for sure they have sold over 14 million, why use the 13 million number???

no nintedo can report numbers out of that period, they did last report. the charts they used in there report went to week 47 which is jan 21, so that has been proven false, along with nintedo using the word now which means at the present.

Where does it mention something about week 47? Please, could you link me to it.

The only reports I found were these:

https://www.nintendo.co.jp/ir/pdf/2018/180131_3e.pdf

https://www.nintendo.co.jp/ir/pdf/2018/180131e.pdf

Also, where did they use the word "now"?

https://www.nintendo.co.jp/ir/pdf/2018/180201_2e.pdf

even in your tweet latest sell through number.

"Nintendo Switch was released in March of last year and surpassed the cumulative global sell-through milestone of 10 million units in early December. The number now exceeds 13 million. The results for the first holiday season exceeded our expectations."

Oh wait, those graphs of sell-through numbers in the Americas, Europe and Japan really go up to week 47 after release of the Switch, so maybe the sell through number of 13 million (*not inluding Asia and Latin America) is also for week 47 after release of the Switch. I guess you're right after all

How on earth would Nintendo know the sell-through up to the 1st of February on the very same day they announce it?

Use some common sense ffs... Where I work we only had accurate information on our yearly results more than a month later (we're also a sales company).

Lol name 1 time i was wrong. You, on the other hand...

As for the Europe numbers, i'm sure they will be adjusted but unfortunately for you it will be upwards. As usual you will be wrong lol. As for your strongman comment, please try to use better grammar. I have no idea what you are trying to say.

Well for one thing the sales team always disagrees with you by making adjustments in your disfavour ...

@Bold Is your mentality that of a 4chan poster ?

Do you have problems reading or seeing reality? Switch has been adjusted upwards at least 3 times and downwards once, which i believe quickrick and yourselves constant bleating had a lot to do with. So i have been right, by your OWN measurement 75% of the time. Lol all you are deconstructing is yourself and your own credibility, which isn't saying much, as you seem to find even basic maths impossible!

They specifically said the numbers only included NA, Europe and Japan. They didn't have accurate data for ROTW so it could clearly be over 14m, especially as Nintendo only specified 13m. For all we know it could have been 13.9m at the time stated. They wouldn't announce 14m if they didn't have reliable data from significant regions. Also, how do you know there haven't been shipments since? There likely has been significant ones.

i mean if they only shipped 14.87 million and they sold through 14.5 million like vgchartz suggest by next week, how would nintedo not know? they would have to ship more units to those other known regions and stock would be extremely low, giving a higher estimate for those other regions, but you are free to think what you want, these numbers are not facts, and i actually wanted to stop posting in theses threads till we had something official, but you kept mentioning me so i felt a need to reply.

Again, this is pure assumption on your part. How do you know how long it takes for reliable sales figures to come through? It takes NPD over 2 weeks to come up with reliable figures and that's for ONE country! Knowing how conservative Nintendo is, i would guess their figures are from way before that date. As for your careful scrutiny of rough charts with little info, again i ask, why do you go to so much trouble? You are like a dog with a bone. I really thought you were going to give up with your Switch numbers obsession but i guess not.

People keep getting irked by how companies are able to achieve such up to date data but they have no idea that hardware vendors and OSVs (OS vendors) are all practically sophisticated enough use telemetry to gain such massive insights on statistics so any time users log in with a Switch system online means that data gets recorded and sent back to Nintendo ...

Nintendo would most certainly have sales data up to date on a daily basis ...
