I think it makes sense. Switch will have an exclusive racer, and Namco was rumoured to be working on MP4 before. It wouldn't surprise me. Also, I'd love that the Star Wars team makes an awesome, fantastic game to hit Disney in the face.

I've honestly always liked that approach, it often results in games that really wouldn't have happened otherwise but the developers were passionately hoping to make.
It's certainly better than just chucking some money at a finished product to keep it for themselves; would be fun to see them do it more often.
How many times has Nintendo partnered with Bandai Namco? I've already lost count.
As for the guys of Star Wars 1313 being behind the new Metroid, they would be capable on the tech side for sure, but I'm not so sure about the gameplay. And I don't trust the Namco side of it either, as they worked on Other M...

Tecmo worked on OM not Namco, the flaws in OM were also Sakamoto's fault not Tecmo's.

Yes, and its one of my favourite racing games of all time.
But thats more of a kart racer than an arcade racer, imo.

Imho this is real, we hear LOTS of rumors pointing at Bamco developing MP4 and none of them were proven fake, I think we'll se some gameplay at E3 at this point but I still expect th game to come out in 2019

It was Tecmo? I always thought it was Namco. Oh, well, that's something I learned today.
